Supernatural Preview: Sam and Dean Must Deal With Bobby to Move Forward With Their Plan

SupernaturalSome Supernatural fans may have thought that all was well when Bobby’s ghost reappeared in a recent episode and stuck around. Well, except, of course, for the fact that he’s dead.

But the show has been giving us – and the Winchesters – some very clear warnings. Everything we know about ghosts shows us that they go bad – or crazy – eventually. And Bobby’s anger over the way that he died is obviously a sore point for him that doesn’t improve the situation. When faced with Dick Roman for the first time since his death, Bobby went violent.

Dean has been wary about Bobby’s ghostly state since he first appeared, but now even Sam is starting to realize that their surrogate father sticking around might not be a good thing. In this week’s upcoming episode, the Winchesters are on a hunt for blood from both Crowley and the Alpha Vampire in order to gain the ingredients needed to defeat the Leviathans (watch a preview). As it turns out, Bobby’s desire to help (watch a clip), while useful, isn’t necessarily welcome.

Producer Bob Singer warns that “The fly in the ointment becomes Bobby. And how to deal with him becomes both a tactical and emotional problem.” Will the Winchesters banish Bobby to Heaven forever or will they find a way to bring him back to life? We’re hoping for the latter!

Watch a producer’s preview below for the May 11 penultimate episode of Supernatural, airing at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. You can also browse through photos for the episode here.
