I am so anxious for the seventh season premiere of Supernatural. I need to know how the whole Castiel business turns out and what new creatures were let out of Purgatory and how crazy Sam will become now that the wall in his head is down.
The Supernatural premiere episode, entitled "Meet The New Boss", will premiere next week and will feature the return of several guest stars, including Julian Richings as Death and Mark Sheppard as Crowley.
The sneak peek below looks to be from the beginning of the episode, because it looks like a continuation of the final scene from the season 6 finale. Castiel has ordered the boys to "bow down" to him. Bobby plunks right down onto his knees, but Castiel stops Sam and Dean before they hesitantly kneel. After all, they're only doing it because they're afraid, not because they revere him as their new god. Sam's also swaying to-and-fro, clearly reeling from the effects of his Hell and Souless Sam memories. And then Castiel leaves, refusing to help Sam. After all, Cas has bigger fish to fry now, and as long as the Winchesters hold their tongues, he's happy to let them live.
Yeah. Let's see how long that lasts.
Supernatural returns for its seventh season on Friday, September 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.

That was pretty awesome, can't wait to see the Death v. Cas scenes seen in the promo pics.
I'm actually dreading the premiere, since I'm afraid Cas is going to be written out / killed off. I wish we could get the old Cas back. I hate what has happened to the character! I barely recognized the characters, any of them, now. Also, more of Sam's wall and memories of hell? Old news.
You can hardly expect Cas to ever be written out :o He's their only line to heaven, their only defense against hell and since both places have quite a few unexpored plotlines he's a very good tool to keep around :D not to mention he's been the ONLY real comedic relief in the show for, like… ever… Dean tried to convince Cas to drop the souls since he didn't need them anymore so i'm assuming season 7 will be about the brothers finding their own way of yanking the 'God' out of Cas and putting him right. Our Cas is still in there, he's just… smothered :[
The JudeoChristian based storyline peaked in S5. The writers express interest in Egyptian Greek Roman mythology on DVD. In TV Guide interview, J.A reveals Deans faces judgement of Egyptian god. Im ready for new characters and stories. Cass was nice but why are people closed to other possibilities? Season8 will be final IMO. Depends on S7.
