For today's Supernatural slide-show, I'm going to do something a little different. In the past I've focused on entire seasons and categories of characters. But this time, we're going to focus on only one character: Castiel.
In honor of tonight's Castiel-centric episode, entitled "The Man Who Would Be King" (view promo photos, a trailer, a sneak peek and a preview for the episode), we're going to focus on our favorite angel.
When Castiel was first introduced to Supernatural fans back in the season 4 premiere, he was all serious and angelic. But it didn't take us too long to learn that the angel, who was basically clueless when it came to humans and their behavior, was unintentionally hilarious. Over the last three seasons, Castiel has become as much a part of this show as Sam, Dean and Bobby, and has made us laugh and cry. Along the way he's given some heartfelt speeches, some badass threats, and some hilarious zingers. Castiel is definitely a character who deserves his own slide-show.
Below are my choices for Castiel's best lines spanning the last three seasons (with some help from Tina over at Winchester Daily, who unknowingly gave me the inspiration for this slide-show). You'll see a combination of funny and serious quotes from all of the different facets of Castiel's personality. Some of the awesomeness comes from the script, while the rest of it is all in the delivery. And since we know Misha Collins can sell any line, he deserves the praise.
Do you think I missed any quotes? It's impossible to capture every single moment that Castiel made me giggle, but I hope I picked the best ones. As always, sound off in the comments.
