Ha! That title is terribly misleading. We're not going to learn the truth about vampires (actually, maybe we will), but I have two sets of spoilers for you: one about vampires and the other about truths.
The episode synopsis for the October 22 new episode of Supernatural (episode 6.06) is very revealing:
After a group of young girls go missing, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) realize that a group of vampires have taken up residence in the small town. After a fight with two of the blood-suckers, Dean is bitten and turns into a vampire.
Samuel (guest star Mitch Pileggi) tells Dean he can change him back but he’d have to get the blood of the vampire who turned him. Dean infiltrates the nest and runs into the Alpha.
Wow, that sounds awesome. It's going to have to be a one-off instance to turn Dean into a vampire. I mean, they can't keep him as one for the remainder of the season. This isn't Angel or The Vampire Diaries. I don't see how that would work. The question is how they'll successfully manage to change him back. It seems like killing the sire will take off the curse (much like with werewolves in season 2), but will Dean be successful? I also find it interesting that we're seeing the Alpha (or first) of all the creatures this season. First the Alpha shapeshifter, now the Alpha vampire. How old do you think that guy would be?
Fancast also recently posted a spoiler that Serinda Swan (Smallville) will be making an appearance in an episode entitled "You Can't Handle the Truth" (episode 6.06, airing on October 29).
Swan will guest-star as a news reporter chronicling an unsettling series of suicides. As Dean and Sam delve into the maudlin mystery, they determine that each victim had been exposed to a brutal truth that quite literally drove them crazy.
Swan’s character, I am told, may turn out to be in possession of information that could shed light on the brothers’ investigation, just as one of Winchesters is forced to comes to terms with a hard truth of his own – one that could send his sibling reeling!
The question was recently put to Ausiello as to which brother would face a truth and which brother would reel. According to him: "Sam is facing the truth; Dean is reeling."
So, of course, I immediately think that Sam will have to face a truth about his time in Hell or what he is now (not exactly Sam?). Beyond that, I can't think of what else it might be, so if you can, feel free to share!
Check back tomorrow night for our recap of 6.03 "The Third Man". Watch a promo and sneak peek for tomorrow night's episode.

Actually, killing off the sire doesn't work with werewolves in the Supernatural world–hence Sam having to kill Madison to stop her. I suspect, though, that the situation with an Alpha is different than with the run of the mill monster. I am very excited about the concept of this episode–and loving the season so far.
I think you're right, that didn't end up working. Or was it that they didn't actually find Madison's real sire? I think I need to go back and watch the episode. In any event, it will be interesting to see how they get Dean out of this jam.
WRT to Sam's secret: I can't wait to find out what it is. The only thing I don't want to happen is for something like 'Sam discovers John isn't his real father'. It's the only thing I could think of besides his recent stay in hell, but I really hope Gamble and co. steer well clear of that one. For a start it will just lead to rehashing of old issues which were dealt with in Seasons 1 and 2 (mostly) and for a second, it could take the show in a somewhat 'soap opera' direction that I would be very loath to see it go in. Anyway, I'm loving season 6 so far, so I'm going to keep the faith…roll on October 29th!
This is going to be a great season I'm so excited, I'm still getting used to Sam's new found attitude but I'm hoping he will turn out ok! I just started a Facebook Fanpage for the show and it's called Supernatural Underground and this is your#1 spot for all things Winchester from video clips to all the latest pics, stop by and hit the like button and some fun!

Howdy this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
