We hop right into the action this week.  Michael prepares for a mission.  “An operation is more likely to be saved by a fresh set of batteries than a gun.”  Fiona packs the batteries in a camera while Michael loads his gun.  Apparently they’re hedging their bets on the batteries.  Fiona answers the door to find Strickler, “Michael’s Ticket Back In.”  Fiona tries to convince Michael not to go with him, to no avail.

Although it should come as no surprise to anyone, USA network has renewed its two top summer series Burn Notice and Royal Pains.  The renewal will bring viewers a second season of Royal Pains, the hip new medical comedy-drama, and a fourth season for the nets flagship action drama Burn Notice.

I had totally forgotten that Michael’s loft was right above a popular night club. Fiona and Mike walk past the waiting wannabes at the club’s door. Michael’s voiceover isn’t much into nightclubs, since they can damage you hearing. Wow…he’s such an old man! “You can hear the music through the floor, Sam’s got beer in the fridge, knock yourself out.” As Michael approaches his stairway, a sultry blonde welcomes them with a gift basket of lotions “from a friend.” She even offers to apply them. Fiona doesn’t seem pleased. Michael turns down the offer, and assumes the gift is from a recruiter.
