Supernatural Season 7: Video Interviews from Comic-Con (Padalecki, Edlund, & Beaver)

Shortly after experiencing the very busy Supernatural press room at this year's Comic-Con, I summarized the various interviews I participated in (read the details and spoilers here for season 7). I got to sit in on interviews with stars Jared Padalecki and Jim Beaver, as well as producers Ben Edlund and Sera Gamble.

Unfortunately, Jensen Ackles didn't make it to our table (I nearly cried over this disappointment, I assure you), and Misha Collins only sat down for a moment to say hello before they spirited him away for the panel. The Supernatural press room was very busy this year - which I suppose is terrific news for the show, but made me sad I couldn't interview everyone. Fortunately, Jared's later appearance at Zach Levi's Nerd HQ (read a summary of his panel) went a long way in helping to dispel my disappointment over missed interviews.

In any event, the interviews my table participated in were full of season 7 details. Below are the actual video interviews for your viewing pleasure. Want to watch Ben Edlund tell us about putting the Winchester brothers in an actual spaceship with a straight face? We've got that! The man is very serious about this spaceship business. And if anyone can make it happen, it's Ben Edlund.

The Secret Circle: Stars and Producers Share Details for the New CW Show

The Secret Circle will be paired with The CW's hit show, The Vampire Diaries, beginning in the fall and the new show will premiere on the same night as The Vampire Diaries' third season: Thursday, September 15.

At Comic-Con, we sat down with EPs Kevin Williamson, Andrew Miller and Richard Hatem, as well as stars Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker, Phoebe Tonkin and Natasha Henstridge to discuss their new series, their characters and what's in store for these witches.

In case you're unfamiliar with the show - or the book series by L.J. Smith of the same name - The Secret Circle centers around a young girl named Cassie whose mother is killed early in the pilot. With no other family, Cassie heads to live with her grandmother Jane in the small town of Chance Harbor, Washington. Shortly after arriving in town Cassie has some encounters with a few of her fellow mysterious high school students. They not only admit to being witches, but tell Cassie that she's the missing person in their circle. With her, they can accomplish great magic.

Williamson – who also runs The Vampire Diaries – told us that creating mythology shows are often difficult, but he fortunately has some help through the source material of the books and the talented writers on staff.

The Show and Its Focus

The show will focus on three different generations: (1) the young, new circle comprised of characters like Cassie, Adam and Diana, (2) the parents of the young circle like Dawn and Charles (played by Gale Harold), and (3) the elder circle like Cassie's grandmother, Jane. Williamson hopes to show viewers about what kinds of powers these witches have and what they can do with them, as well as what the laws are of being a witch. He said that the elder generation don’t really believe there is a place for witches in the modern world, but other people obviously feel differently.

Williamson pointed out a few of the differences between The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle. He believes that The Vampire Diaries is a more masculine show (even with the love story), because there are werewolves and vampires, which are evil creatures that kill, shed blood and rip hearts out. The Secret Circle, by contrast, will not be as “in-your-face violent”, because the witchcraft won’t have those sort of effects. “It’s a different type of menace.”

For those Vampire Diaries fans who hope to see a crossover, I have a bit of bad news for you. While the shows are certainly companionable in terms of subject matter, Williamson said “Chance Harbor does not live in the universe that Mystic Falls does”. That’s not to say, of course, that a crossover will never happen, but the possibility seems more remote at this time.

Britt Robertson and Cassie

Williamson knew about Robertson because he has a history with Liz Tigelaar (who created Life Unexpected) dating back to Dawson’s Creek. It was that relationship that put Robertson into his sphere and made him want to work with her (and give her a small part in Scream 4). When The Secret Circle came around, both Williamson and the studio were eager to cast Robertson in the role of Cassie.

Robertson told us a bit about her character, who is thrown into a new town while trying to work through her grief after losing her mother. She's shocked to be told that she's also a witch (and that her mother was one as well). In the pilot she's very unsure about what's going on, but you'll get to experience Cassie's journey along with her. The dilemma to choose between good and evil is very human and one that Cassie herself will struggle with. Cassie will face some "scary magical situations" on an episode to episode basis. Unfortunately, even though she's one of the lead characters, she doesn't really know exactly where the show is going.

Thomas Dekker and Adam

Dekker revealed a secret childhood love for The Craft (me too!), which prompted his love of witchcraft and helped attract him to The Secret Circle. He thinks that Adam is a really sane, grounded person, and that Adam has a grace and connection to nature through his role as a witch. He plays the “piller of goodness and sanity” in the circle and “he’s trying to control everybody’s ego and desire with their powers”. As the show progresses, they’ll be dealing more with spellbooks and candles, instead of just using magic by “staring at someone”. Expect the second episode to be much “edgier than the pilot”. There will be more sex, more violence and more evil in the adult world. He thinks the pilot sets up a “mood and tone that everything’s a bit off in the town”.

This is a bit of a spoiler (yes, more so than the rest of this article) for people who have not read the books, but Cassie is really attracted to Adam in the books, even though he is dating Diana when they first meet. Dekker says that the show will explore the attraction between these two characters (which is recognizable even in the pilot). The backstory of Adam and Diana will also be explored very early in season 1. Adam will be torn between the two girls and will also be concerned about how Diana will react to a potential Adam-Cassie relationship since she is a witch.

Adam’s father (a struggling alcoholic) appears in addition to Henstridge and Harold’s characters. I’m sure there’s some backstory there as to how he fits in with the next generation’s story and Dekker hopes the character will be sticking around.

Phoebe Tonkin and Faye

When she chatted with us, Tokin described Faye as “very unpredictable. She’s hungry for power. I don’t necessarily think she wants to hurt anyone. She just doesn’t really think about things. Magic is her vice.” While other teenagers want to lash out and party, Faye turns to her magic to cause trouble.

But lest you think that Faye is just another one-dimensional bad girl, know that you will be seeing her interact with her mother Dawn (played by Henstridge). We’ll “learn why she is the way she is”. Tonkin thinks a lot of the reasons for Faye’s behavior come from her relationship with her mother and her lack of a father and hopefully this is something they’ll explore as the series progresses.

Tonkin explained that before Cassie arrived in town, the circle was really only able to do minimal magic, but her arrival means that they now have the potential for unlimited power. While Faye resents Diana for being the circle’s leader, Tonkin believes that her character might actually like Cassie’s spunk. She’s really looking forward to playing the different sides of Faye – from the normal girl to the powerful witch.

Natasha Henstridge and Dawn

Henstridge plays Dawn, Faye's mother and the principal of the high school attended by the kids in the circle. She said "I guess some people could say [I am] 'the villain'. Although, like anyone who's playing a character, there's always a reason in your heard [why] you're doing the things that you're doing. In her case I think she genuinely believes that she's bringing these kids together and getting this full circle together because her generation has lost the power because of deaths. In some ways she's even using her own daughter to get the circle together, to get power for something really big and huge that I'm not sure of yet. I think, in her head, it's for the greater good, but [she] does a lot of horrible things to get there".

We should get to see more about Dawn and her generation's backstory. She thinks that Dawn isn't void of any morality because there are some lines she doesn't want to cross. "Getting power is her biggest motivation. [Although], I think she definitely doesn't want to hurt her daughter and definitely loves her daughter".

A lot of CW shows have a tendency to cast parents as secondary characters and focus on the younger generation, but The Secret Circle pilot puts the next generation (played by Henstridge and Gale Harold) front and center. EPs Miller and Hatem said that both Henstridge and Harold are such great actors (and they really are in these parts) that it would be crazy not to use them as much as they can. As well “the multi-generational aspect is so endemic to our story that you can’t avoid it. We’re going use them a ton. We’re going to get the grandparents in there on some level [as well].”

The Secret Circle will premiere on Thursday, September 15 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.

Castle Press Room At Comic-Con: Videos, Photos And Spoilers

Being a fan of ABC's hit show Castle for a while now, I had already known that the cast was really nice and friendly. After all, their interviews are always fun and lighthearted. So with that in mind, I braved my very first press room at Comic-Con and it just happened to be with the cast of my favorite show.

Talk about pressure, right?

After a really entertaining panel with a packed house, Seamus Dever, Jon Huertas, Tamala Jones, Molly Quinn, Nathan Fillion and executive producer Laurie Zaks took the time to sit down and talk to us about the new season on Castle. And I have to say, all of them are the most down to earth people I had the chance of meeting during the entire Con.

You can check out for yourselves what they had to say about season 4 and what they think the repercussions of the explosive season 3 finale are going to be. One thing was unanimous, though. They all said that the season 4 premiere – entitled “Rise” and scheduled to air on September 19th – will be even more epic than “Knockout”, which is saying something, right?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a video of Molly Quinn’s interview, but I can tell you this much: Alexis is not happy about the way her father’s relationship with Detective Beckett is progressing.

“She is not a shipper”, Molly emphasized during the interview. “She just saw a bullet go by her face and her grandmother’s face while he jumped in front of the woman the bullet was intended for, risking his own life. And that woman got shot, anyway. So I am whisked away by the police and I just saw my dad go down. I don’t know if he’s been shot, if they’re both dead… They're not tellling me anything. I mean, how would you react?”

She also said that Alexis will not see eye to eye on everything with Castle this season, especially after the events of the finale.

For more scoop about the fourth season of Castle, check out the interviews below.

Supernatural's Jared Padalecki at Nerd HQ: The Show, Stories & Sam Winchester's Hair

This year, Chuck star Zachary Levi created a Nerd HQ at Comic-Con. The Nerd Machine took over a restaurant in San Diego's Gaslamp District and gave fans a place to play games and watch panels featuring gaming, television and movie celebrities. I had the lucky privilege to attend a small panel featuring Zach's friend Jared Padalecki, who took questions from the audience members for over an hour. Proceeds from the Padalecki panel - as well as the other panels and events at Nerd HQ - went to benefit Operation Smile. The Nerd Machine managed to raise over $40,000 for the charity during Comic-Con.

Having never been to a Supernatural convention before, I wasn't too familiar with seeing Jared in a small panel setting, but he was charming and funny, regaling the audience with on-set antics, his fishing trip over the summer, the story of how he and Zach became friends, and why Sam Winchester's hair has gone through so many transformations over the past 6 seasons.

Jared opened the floor to questions right from the start (after jokingly mumbling that co-star Jensen Ackles should have won the part of Captain America after the movie was mentioned by an audience member). The first question dived right into season 7 of Supernatural, and Jared revealed that while Sam will "remember what's happened currently", he will not be sure of what reality - or even what year - he is actually in now that the Hell wall in his head. Jared is very excited about Sam's storyline in season 7 and called it "very scary". He thinks that the Winchesters generally bear their burdens well (despite how many they have), but Sam will be very scared, not only by what's happening to him, but also because of how Dean is affected by it.

When asked about his favorite season of Supernatural, Jared picked season 4 (which is mine as well). Not only did he marry an actress he met during that season (Genevieve Cortese), but he "felt that was the culmination of the original plan". He also felt like he worked really hard and hoped that came across in season 4. Sam's journey in that season almost bled over into his real life (despite not succumbing to the temptation to drink demon blood in real life).

One fan mentioned the always amusing gag reels on the Supernatural DVDs and asked about on-set pranks. Some of the pranks the boys play on each other are well-known online (such as that time Jared beat Misha in Words With Friends and Misha elected to pay his $1900 bet in coins), but Jared also shared about how easy it is to crack Misha up. So much so that he once had both Jared and Jensen ordered off the set so that he could continue with a dramatic scene.

Next came the big question: what was Jared's favorite Sam Winchester hairstyle? The fan said that he preferred the season 1 hairstyle. Apparently on set they have a joke that Jared has grown a "fivehead" instead of a forehead. Jared liked season 1 as well (since it was so short), but his hairstyles are on purpose. "As my forehead grew into a fivehead, they decided to share it with the world".

When a fan said that her friend sold Jared a fishing license in Texas over the summer, Jared moaned about how he hadn't managed to catch any fish. The boy loves going on his tangents and kept rambling until the fan mentioned Jared being spotted at the TARDIS on the Comic-Con floor and he lamented about the fact that he couldn't fit in it. What followed were a few "I was too big to fit" innuendos and a story about Jared and Mark Sheppard venturing into the TARDIS together.

Then it was back to a Supernatural discussion when one fan mentioned that the brothers seemed to have switched personalities over the years and he wondered whether Jared agreed that the episode "Mystery Spot" was a turning point in that shift. Jared went on to explain that "Mystery Spot" was actually a pivotal episode. It was actually the last episode they filmed before the writers' strike - even though it aired before the mid-season finale "Jus in Bello". "Mystery Spot" was written as a possible series finale if the strike had lasted a long time and the show was not picked up for a fourth season. It was meant to be a possible segue into a potential movie or to act as an ultimate cliffhanger. Jared thinks Sam did change in that episode. But he ultimately feels like Sam's transformation really hit its stride in season 4 when he followed Ruby, became addicted to demon blood and really started making his own divergent choices.

It wasn't until one fan asked Jared about his favorite moment about working on Gilmore Girls that Zach revealed a hidden past: Jared had apparently beaten out Zach for the role on that show (and Jared likes the Jess/Dean fight scene, which Jared had to film despite having hurt his hip while appearing on MacGyver).

One of the audience members also brought up the recent poll Jared won about which TV stars fans wanted to see make it in movies. He reiterated the interview he gave when he won that poll and said "I'm in a great position right now where I'm part of a show doing a lot of great things. I feel so comfortable as Sam Winchester....As a Texan I'm also fiercely loyal, sometimes to the point of cutting off my nose to spite my fact. And I wouldn't in a million years leave Supernatural if Supernatural wanted me because it's done a lot for me."

While Jared's entire was hilarious, perhaps the best part came when a fan asked how Jared and Zach first met. Zach joined Jared on stage to explain that they had originally met during a pick-up basketball game played by some actors. Later, during the writers' strike, the two of them headed to England to do international press for their Warner Bros. shows. There they watched a real English football game (complete with unintelligible chants) where they sat in the Arsenal section that was surrounded by security guards because football games in England are very serious business. They ended up being threatened by the fans in the other section and Zach said "so the short answer is we met playing basketball but we solidified our friendship just trying to stay alive at a football game."

It's clear that Jared really appreciates his fans and loves interacting and joking with them. The panel was great fun and was followed by a signing by Jared which unfortunately I couldn't stay for. Overall, it was a great afternoon that went to benefit a terrific charity. Here's hoping Zach continues with Nerd HQ at the 2012 Comic-Con.

There are some pretty cool moments that happened during the panel, which included stars Anna Torv, John Noble, Lance Reddick, Jasika Nicole, Blair Brown, Seth Gabel, and executive producers J.H. Wyman and Jeff Pinkner. We've got three videos for you from the panel.

The first video features the surprise appearance -- if you'd call it a surprise -- by star Joshua Jackson. While his name wasn't advertised as part of the panel, he stepped out onto the stage after the rest of the cast, dressed as an Observer with a fedora and a briefcase. Sure, it wasn't a huge surprise, but it was a nice moment nonetheless.

Next up, we've got a clip featuring Lance Reddick doing his impersonation of Anna Torv doing her impersonation of Leonard Nimoy. Yes, it was as funny as it sounds. There's also a cool bit in the clip in which executive producer Jeff Pinkner hints that we might not have seen all of Olivia's powers. Check it out:

The third clip is my favorite. It starts off with Jasika Nicole, who plays Astrid Farnsworth on the show, revealing, Aerosmith style, that her character will have a gun in the upcoming season. Then, later in the clip, John Noble tries to find some good in Walternate, though Joshua Jackson reminds him that Walternate did shoot Peter's future wife in the head, after all. "People can change!" Noble insists.

Supernatural Press Room at Comic-Con: Season 7 Spoilers & What Happens to Castiel

We hit up the Supernatural press room and panel at this year's Comic-Con, and even though we didn’t get to speak to some of the cast members in the press room, we still had a great time. So let’s share with you a few things we learned from the press room first.

Castiel as God

With fans so worried about the state of Castiel after the season 6 finale of Supernatural, it’s no wonder that questions about him came up in the press room. Ben Edlund said that Castiel is still the new God and “his story is about stabilizing this God complex” and the “ramifications of what he’s done”. Ben also said that the season 7 premiere is almost like episode 23 of season 6, since the premiere follows so closely from the last episode, especially concerning what’s happening with Castiel. The season premiere will pick up seconds after the end of last season.

Castiel’s is a story of “absolute power” Edlund said, as well as one of pride. Edlund imagines that “redemption will be part of it”, although perhaps his path to redemption will be slightly tarnished.

Showrunner Sera Gamble wrote the premiere and she said the writers had a really great time discussing what each of them would do if they were God. Castiel has declared himself God, he’s “really pissed at his dad who never came home”, and the writers are having fun coming up with ideas of what Castiel would do with unlimited power. Jim Beaver said that what happens to Castiel is “so different from what the audience may expect”, but couldn’t elaborate any more.

To be honest, it kind of sounds like Castiel will be having his own storyline this season that may be slightly separate from that of the Winchesters (although I'm sure there will be overlap), but it didn’t sound like they will be killing Castiel anytime soon. I may turn out to be wrong about that as the season progresses, but right now I’m feeling pretty good about Castiel’s chances of staying on the show in at least a recurring capacity.

The Season-Long Arc

Supernatural will be getting a new “big bag” in season 7. Some of you might think that Castiel turns out to be a big bad, but it was sort of hinted that the big bad wouldn’t necessarily be Castiel, although he will certainly be causing problems. Jared said that Sam and Dean will be off on their own in season 7, on the road and on the run. The focus of the season will be back on the brothers.

Monsters of the week will again feature in season 7, but it seems like the big bad will be introduced very early on in the season - in episode 2, according to Beaver - and this new villain will also be a focus.

Beaver hinted that there will be “interesting geographical and infrastructure shifts in the show, so a lot of things that Sam, Dean and Bobby have counted on are going to get reshuffled.” Could it mean that something might happen to Bobby’s house and the boys lose their base of operations?

The Winchesters will have a very tough year in season 7. The writers will be taking away all of the old tricks and resources the brothers relied on for six seasons and now they’ll be “challenged as hunters” as Edlund said and will “have professional difficulties”.

Sam’s Struggles

Jared reminded us that Sam once again got left in a mess at the end of season 6. He has only read the first four episodes of the season, but Sam is in for some meaty stuff in season 7. We pick up at a run with everything concerning Sam.

Gamble said that we will start to see how Sam is really affected by the wall breaking in his head. The writers were really specific about what would happen to Sam if the wall broke. Both Castiel and Death warned of terrible repercussions of the wall coming down. Sam won’t be let off scott-free and what’s wrong with him will be a major storyline. What happens to Sam will be “a true break in someone’s psyche and maybe this is something that can never be fixed”. It will be a problem the boys haven’t faced before.

At the Nerd HQ panel with Jared later on in the day, he actually said that Sam would be very confused about what reality he is in - and even what year it is - as he suffers the effects of the broken wall.

Dean’s Problems

Dean will be dealing with a lot in the first part of the season. Not only will the brothers be worrying about each other, but Dean suffered a lot of loss in season 6. Gamble said “we find him in a place where he has a lot of soul searching to do and he has to ask himself why he does what he does in the face of what’s happened to him and all the things he and his brother have seen….we’ve brought him to a point where he has to ask himself why he’s a hunter, I think”.

Dean in particular will feel a profound betrayal about Castiel and his actions at the end of season 6. Sam may be more willing to cut Cas some breaks, but Dean truly feels that Castiel is lost to them, Gamble explained.

New and Returning Characters

I brought up the fact that so many characters have died on Supernatural, particularly in season 6, and wondered whether Sam and Dean would pick up a few new allies in season 7. Edlund said that the boys will definitely be meeting some new allies this year. As he jokingly put it “we need to repopulate so that we can kill more people”. They’ve already talked in the writers’ room about some new characters that the boys can relate to.

In particular, Gamble mentioned an old friend of Bobby’s that we will meet who is a bit of a conspiracy theorist. “A typical statement for him would be ‘yeah, yeah, yeah, there are shapeshifters, but the government created them’.” Sam and Dean will seek him out for help and will actually get caught in a booby trap in his house.

They confirmed the Twitter story that Alona Tal will be returning as Jo Harvelle in season 7, although we’re not really sure how she’ll return. Death will also be returning early in the season.

In addition, Kim Rhodes is returning as Sheriff Mills in an upcoming episode. By coincidence, Sherrif Mills will become involved with the season’s big bad and will ask for Bobby’s help. Beaver thinks she’ll “be around somewhat.”

On a side note, Jim Beaver said that Bobby will be in the first three episodes of season 7 and will likely be in as many episodes as he was last season.

Episode 7.03 - Jensen Directs

Colin Ford who has played young Sam will be returning in this episode. Dean will appear more in this episode than in “Weekend at Bobby’s”, but it will focus primarily on Sam. The episode will deal with a case that Sam worked on with Dean and John when they were younger. The elder Winchesters dropped Sam off at a motel and then kept calling him for research and help while they were working a case. Young Sam ended up meeting a girl (played by Jewel Staite as a adult).

A Return to Heaven

We’ve only really seen Heaven in two episodes, but you should expect to see to see it again in season 7 as we’ll be taking another trip there. We don’t know too many details yet about it because it’s early days, but Edlund said “there are visits to heaven already planned to tell various parts of the story. And I imagine that further into the season we’ll probably play more into it."

Potential Future Storylines

Last year Edlund and the others told us that we would see fairies in a future episode, but there was no definitive storyline or monster of the week that Edlund could tell us about this time. However, Edlund told us that he really hopes he can get Sam and Dean on a spaceship this year, but we’ll have to see if that comes to pass. We also chatted with him about a potential music episode (which he still hopes to do, even though it nearly killed Joss Whedon), as well as a potential animated or partially animated episode (which they’re trying to figure out how to do).

The End of the Series

Edlund says they have a general idea of how to end the series now that Kripke’s original five season ending was told, although plans can always change, as well as the length of time it takes to get there in case the season 7 is not the last.

12:24pm: Looks like we might see Castle's father sometime this season.

12:27pm: Nathan says he would love to have some Firefly cast members guest star on Castle, but he wants it to be something really juicy.

12:29pm: Molly says Alexis will get a lot more feisty this season.

The show, the CDs, the concert tours, the merchandise...there is no escaping the Emmy-nominated musical hit that takes over your TV every Tuesday night.

The juggernaut will be taking the stage here in Hall H for its third appearance at Comic-Con in less than 15 minutes. On hand for the event are cast members Darren Criss (Blaine), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang), Jenna Ushowitz (Tina), Dot Marie Jones (Coach Bieste) and creators/executive producers Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk. Dante di Lorento, Kevin Tancharoen (director of the gLee 3D movie) and Zach Woodlee (choreographer) are also present.

We're expecting scoop, behind the scenes info, a sneak peek at the Glee Concert 3D movie and hopefully some information about what to expect from our favorite kids at McKinley High.

We'll be live blogging the panel so make sure you keep refreshing your page as we bring you the scoop.

10:08: Panel is running late and fans are sitting and waiting as the fire marshals want everyone sitting down before it starts.

10:15 We were just shown a 10 minute clip package from the gLee 3D concert special featuring a performance from Heather Morris and the Warblers. Also featuring the cutest little boy ever dancing to Teenage Dream.

10:26 Kevin Tancharoen, director of the gLee 3D movie says it will show us a mix between the show and the fans whose lives have been affected by the show.

10:28 Addressing what was told to The Hollywood Reporter about Season 4, Brad says that Cory, Lea and Chris may be graduating but are not leaving the show. "You can quote me here, they are not done with the show." Jenna is a Junior in high school.

10:30 This season will be essentially two mini seasons with the first 9 leading up to sectionals and the next 12 or 13 leading up to regionals/nationals.

10:31 Chord Overstreet said "no" to a possible series regular for the second half of the season after seeing how the first half goes.

10:33 Mercedes got a new boy over the summer which will contribute to her major arc this season.

10:34 Coach Beiste will be back.

10:35 Mike and Tina will be just fine in the beginning of the season. "Longest running couple in gLee history" says Harry. He will be getting a beefed up story line and we will be meeting his parents.

10:36 "I sound like a saturday morning cartoon when I answer that question," Darren says on his experience this year. He is a big fan of Klaine and wants them staying together for the long haul.

10:38 Darren Criss can not confirm whether or not he will be going to Broadway.

10:39 Darren would love to do a solo album but not sure if he has time right now.

10:41 Working with the deaf choir taught them a great deal. We learned about different accents when signing, hearing people sign different than deaf people. Dante di Lorento says he hopes it was exciting for you as well.

10:42 Music or story first? "It's always the story first," says Falchuk.

10:43 Bartie (Brittany/Artie) or Brittana (Brittany/Santana) for each panelist? Jenna and Harry both like Brittana, although Jenna still likes Artina.

10:46 Heather is a comic genuis, and Naya is as well although with a crazy incredible voice. They were surprised and excited to find the gems they got with these actresses.

10:47 Falchuk mentions that Peter Rice allowed us to explore the idea of a spin off with the characters who are graduating but I think we are going to pass.

10:49 You have to tune in to find out if Blaine will be part of the New Directions.

10:50 For the cast what would your dream role be on Broadway? Kim from Ms. Saigon for Jenna; Singing in the Rain for Harry; and the MC in Cabaret; Ursula from The Little Mermaid for Dot.

10:51 Darren would want to sing something from Aladdin if they could get the rights to a Disney song. Although he said he'd probably change his mind in 5 minutes.

10:52 What part of yourself do you see in your characters? "Well, I look like Mike Chang." But he is a stand up guy and he has a love for dance just like himself. --Harry Shum Jr.

10:53 Dot says she is sometimes like her character but not always. She can relate in small ways.

10:54 Harry apparently taught Heather dance at a convention once. They both knew of each other and Zach had known them both and brought them in.

10:55 A fan asks an interesting question about how the popularity may have changed the creativity. Brennan says he loves it but he doesn't really know if it's changed.

10:56 Starkid and gLee will probably not cross over.

10:57 Sue is running for Congress this season. How will that affect the school and the kids? "Tune in... She doesn't want to just end the glee club she wants to end glee clubs."

10:58 One of Sue's lines from Ian Brennan: "She sees a purple piano and wants it put in a museum because she suspects Liberace died on it."

10:59 How do you get Brittany's lines? "If Brittany were here, she'd have something to say about that" says Ian. You may see things in your every day life and you think about what she would say about that.

And that's it!!! The panel is over!! Stay tuned for photos from the event later!! Thanks for following along!

Previously Unseen LOST Clip Revealed at Comic-Con 2011

It's times like these that I really miss LOST. It's been over a year since we said goodbye to Jack, Kate, Hurley, and the rest, but it feels like so much longer.

Luckily, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are here to help. At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the duo (who executive produced LOST during its run) crashed Entertainment Weekly's "Totally LOST: One Year Later" panel and introduced a clip that had been deleted from the first season finale, "Exodus, Part 2."

Lindelof and Cuse had been 'feuding' on Twitter about the clip in the days leading up to its release. The 'fight' hit some pretty low blows, including a reference to Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin, with whom Lindelof had clashed over his disappointment in the series finale.

But the feuding buildup aside, the clip actually answers quite a few questions. Perhaps most notably, it tackles that tricky subject of the Man in Black's real name. It isn't Samuel, as previously hinted, nor is it Esau, like fans had theorized. It's actually...

Well, why spoil the clip for you? Check out the deleted scene from "Exodus, Part 2" below, and prepare to be amazed.

Nikita at Comic-Con: Tons of Season 2 Spoilers & Details

I had the pleasure of participating in the Nikita press room this year at Comic-Con and met stars Maggie Q, Lyndsy Fonseca, Shane West and executive producer Craig Silverstein. The cast is not only incredibly nice, they also shared a veritable plethora of spoilers with us to pass along to you.

The Black Boxes

E.P. Craig said that there are "three or four [black boxes] left, depending on who you ask" and Nikita and Michael will definitely be searching for them, but their goal has shifted a bit this season. The duo will actually be working on taking down the group who is above Division (a.k.a. Oversight).

The season will be partially about the black boxes, digging into it and decrypting its secrets and cleaning them up one by one. Craig says that the boxes contain more information than we can imagine. The remaining black box guardians have all "spread to the wind" and we'll learn more about this in episode 2.02.

New and Returning Characters

We'll meet a new character named Sean, who works for Oversight. He's sent in to supervise what's happening at Division since Oversight took back control. Craig compared him to the "Colin Ferrell character in Minority Report". In addition to looking for the flaws inside of Division, he may be a potential love interest for Alex. But Alex isn't interested in a new relationship at this time, so it's unclear whether anything will really develop between the two.

Some fans may have noticed that Alberta Watson appeared in the season 1 finale of Nikita as a member of Oversight. Craig assures us that she'll be appearing again in the season 2 premiere.

Also, some fans may be happy to know that Devon Sawa returns as Owen in the second episode of season 2 (which Maggie said is terrific episode). Maggie also shared that Owen will "weave himself into the fabric of Nikita and Michael and their world", which will be shocking. This will help solidify Owen's presence in the Nikita world.

Alex's Journey

Alex's focus this season will be on finding the man who ordered the hit on her family. Season 2 will also begin with Alex and Nikita working at cross-purposes, but their continued relationship throughout the season will have its ups and downs. Maggie says that Nikita has a lot of love for Alex and wants to make things right with her, but that she also understands that Alex may also have to travel her own path, even if it pains Nikita to watch it. And while the two are not working together anymore, expect them to run into each other occasionally as they each pursue separate paths.

Lyndsy says that Alex will have matured a lot going into season 2 and will be focusing on finding answers.

Percy and Berkoff

According to Craig, Percy "may not be moving around a lot. He may be confined to an area in Division and it's probably one of the coolest sets we built on the show." In other words, it sounds like Percy has been put in a prison within Division and is no longer in a position of power (although Shane said he's not sure how long that may last). We'll also learn more about Percy and Amanda's pasts, including the origins of Division.

Berkoff, meanwhile, will not be in Division when we return for season 2, but we'll know more about what he's doing in the premiere. Maggie hinted that Berkoff may even help Nikita and Michael in their mission.

Amanda and Division

Amanda is firmly in charge of Division when Nikita returns in the fall, and Craig actually said that she may be trying to "turn Division into a more principled place". There won't be any more missions on the side and Amanda will be playing "Oversight's good girl", but don't underestimate her because she's one scary person.

Alex will essentially be Division's "private contractor". She'll be working on her own but will also be receiving help from Division when needed. But despite Alex working for Amanda, Lyndsy warns that Alex doesn't necessarily trust Amanda.

Nikita and Michael

This new couple got together in season 1 and then drove off together in the finale. While they are still going strong, don't expect smooth sailing all the way. Craig said that some wrenches will be thrown into their relationship, but they will take a while to develop. Shane said that the couple is finally together, but they're both focused on all the work they have to do, so they'll have the "normal problems in a relationship with extraordinary circumstances on the side". Expect a side order of comedy in season 2 as well.

The couple will also be on the run at the beginning of the season, going from one motel to another and switching cars constantly.

Michael will be getting more fight scenes this year and Shane said that his character will be a lot deadlier.

Maggie warned that Nikita's journey will be "huge this season". Season 2 will show us who Nikita is and why she turned into the person she is. Flashbacks will be a recurring device used in the next season. She also shared that there will be a bit of a role reversal for Michael and Nikita this year. Michael will be really focused on their mission, while Nikita will actually want to focus on her relationship with Michael and "wanting things that normal people want", even if it's not necessarily possible for her.

Season 2 and The Future of Nikita

This overarching theme of this season will be Michael and Nikita will be focusing on righting wrongs, while Alex "heads from right to wrong" as Craig put it. In addition, each of the characters will be "searching for home", however they define it.

The producers have mapped out season 2 (although things can always change along the way) and already know what the story arc for season 3 will be if the show gets renewed again next year.

Amongst the lunacy rolled out during this year's Fringe panel at Comic-Con 2011 was a reel of "Peter Bishop" auditions that featured a number of surprising, and unlikely candidates for the part of Peter on Fringe. It's as hard to imagine never seeing Jackson in the role again as it is ever seeing Andrew Garfield, or ... Damon Lindelof? That's where the crazy begins my friends. Roll the video below to see who the Fringe gang claims was actually in the running to play Peter.

Fringe At Comic-Con: News and Photos

Today's Fringe panel was probably one of the most fun panels I had a chance to attend in the past three days. They showed a video of several people auditioning to be Peter's replacement - you know, since he apparently does not exist anymore - including some big names like Jorge Garcia, Damon Lindelof, Rebecca Mader, Greg Grumberg and Zachary Quinto.

They ended it with Joshua Jackson dressed up like The Observer, followed by Jackson himself entering the panel with an Observer attire. The fans went wild with his arrival and he thanked everyone for their support and for participating on the Pacey Con 2011, which I sadly missed.

The cast was very nice and warm towards the fans and John Noble took the time to thank the fanbase on behalf of the entire cast and crew for their support and loyal dedication to the show. He said that they would not be here today if it wasn't for the fans.

Lots of questions were asked, but not a lot of them were granted a concrete answer, as the producers said that they don't want to ruin what is in store for the audience in the upcoming fourth season. Josh said that he thinks the Peter we will see this season is wildly different from the character we have come to know and love in the past three seasons. When asked about Fauxlivia's baby, Anna said she thinks the baby might not exist at all, since Peter doesn't exist anymore.

Towards the end of the panel, they flipped the script and it was the cast's turn to ask the audience questions. Prizes were handed out and a lot of fans scored a "Save Peter" T-shirt.

The Vampire Diaries at Comic-Con: Season 3 Spoilers & Video Interviews

We started in the press room of The Vampire Diaries this year, which was so busy we only really had time speak with executive producer Julie Plec and stars Paul Wesley and Candice Accola. Then it was over to the Vampire Diaries panel, where the three people we interviewed were joined by EP Kevin Williamson and stars Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Joseph Morgan.

When season 3 opens, The Vampire Diaries will have jumped forward a few months in time and the next big event will be Elena’s birthday. Elena will be dealing with even more adult responsibilities in season 3, especially with trying to act as a guardian to Jeremy now that they don’t need a guardian living in their house anymore.

Caroline will be tapping into her season 1 self and will be working hard to plan Elena the most perfect birthday party. We’ll see how the time in between seasons 2 and 3 will have affected her relationship with Matt after he dumped her and we’ll also see her growing friendship with Tyler and what that will lead to. We tried to ask Candice about Caroline’s interactions with the new character Becky, but she didn’t actually know much, so chances are that Becky won’t be first appearing in the season 3 premiere.

We know that season 3 will be introducing us more to the Originals and it was confirmed that we will definitely be seeing Elijah again in season 3.

Bonnie and Jeremy will be going through their own problems. Bonnie has found a really nice relationship with Jeremy and brought him back to life and now he’s getting ghostly visitations from two ex-girlfriends. Expect a creepy ghost story and an emotional one. They’ll be examining this new development right away when season 3 begins.

Damon, meanwhile, isn’t too happy with his current lot in life. He tried so hard to turn Stefan evil in seasons 1 and 2 and to get him to admit to his vampiric nature, but now Stefan is going off the rails and joining forces with someone that Damon hates. Damon will sort of be forced to act as a hero but will definitely resent it. However, he won’t be acting like the old Stefan. EP Kevin said that Damon’s story is like “one step forward and three steps back”. He wants to kill people but his relationship with Elena tells him that doing those kinds of things is not okay, so it’s a constant struggle. And while Elena will be struggling with “loving both of them” as Katherine had told her in the finale, she and Damon can’t just jump into a relationship because there are too many issues and complications.

In the meantime, we’ll be seeing a much darker side of Stefan. We already know that Stefan doesn’t want Elena to see his darker side, so it won’t be shocking if their relationship is affected by his actions. Stefan will be dealing with his inability to control himself when he gives himself over to his monstrous side. Paul said that Stefan drinking human blood and giving into those urges will make him forget his ultimate mission, which is to protect Elena.

Below are two videos we shot in the press room, as well as some photos from the panel.

For a show that had a less than stellar first season - with a few gems thrown in, of course - Fringe is going into its fourth season as one of the best shows on TV today with great writing, a very complex mythology and a giant and very loyal fanbase. I may be a little biased as I am a huge fan of the show, but it has only gotten better over the past three seasons, finishing its latest season with a bang.

Season 3 of Fringe was probably one of the best seasons that aired in 2010/2011 with a very solid narrative. The ratings, however, haven't been the greatest, as it is usually with genre shows. The time slot on Friday night didn't help either. Fortunately, FOX decided to renew the show for a fourth season for the relief of fans worldwide.

Because of that, Fringe is once again having a panel at Comic-Con and that is happening in just a few minutes. We will be live-blogging all the details and scoop about the new season, so make sure you keep refreshing this page to keep up with what is going on here in Ballroom 20 at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con.

4:32pm: John Noble thanks the fans for all their support. He says that they know that without the fans support, they wouldn't be here.

4:40pm: They showed a video of several people auditioning for the of Peter's replacement. Lots of great names including, Michael Emerson, Jorge Garcia, Rebecca Mader and Damon Lindelof.

4:41pm: Joshua Jackson has just joined the cast and producers dressed as an Observer.

4:45pm: Producers say Olivia has not mastered her abilities and they have not developed completely yet.

4:50pm: Seth Gabel is officially announced as a member of the cast. He says he has been warmly welcomed by everyone.

4:52pm: Joshua Jackson says the Peter we are going to see in season 4 is a completely different version of the character we have come to known and love.

4:59pm: They are changing it up now and the cast will ask the audience questions.

5:20pm: Very entertaining panel. The cast and producers were very nice and friendly to the fans. It was also great that they acknowledged the fanbase's dedication to keep the show and that they would not be here if it weren't for the fans. They didn't reveal much about the upcoming fourth season and justified it saying that it would ruin the surprise of what's to come.

Terra Nova At Comic-Con: Advanced Review Of Pilot, News and Photos

Well, I have to say I am very excited about Terra Nova. During the panel that took place this morning, the audience got a fantastic treat as we had a chance to watch the first part of the two-hour pilot scheduled to premiere on September 26th on FOX.

And let me tell you something.

It’s mind blowing.

The show, produced by Steven Spielberg, tells the story of the Shannon family. They live in a rather depressing future in the year of 2149, where the air is so bad you can’t breathe and there is no fresh food available. Overpopulation became a huge problem and each family can only have four members at most. What happens to the Shannon family is that they have a third child and that is against the law. When they are caught, Jim Shannon (played by Jason O’Mara), the father, is sent to prison.

Two years later, Dr. Elizabeth Shannon is recruited to go to Terra Nova, but she would have to leave Jim and their youngest child behind. Since going there is a one-way trip – they are travelling in time after all – she comes up with a plan to break her husband out of jail and smuggle him and their child to Terra Nova, where they can have a second chance at being a family.

After a lot of struggle, they travel back in time and finally make it to this new world. Terra Nova is a settlement where they all have houses, fresh food, sunlight and dinosaurs. What is interesting about the time travel, however, is that this is a completely different time stream, so whatever happens in Terra Nova will not affect the current timeline.

Once there, they find out that not everything is sunshine and daisies, as there is an enemy group called The Sixers. And there is always the threat of dinosaurs, obviously.

The first part of the pilot is very well written and, most importantly, it is engaging and very exciting. I have to say I am completely hooked on this show and can’t wait to find out what happens next.

The screening of the Terra Nova pilot was followed by a quick Q&A with actor Stephen Lang, executive producers Jose Molina, Rene Echevarria and Brannon Braga, and LOST’s special effects genius, Kevin Blank.

Famous for his recent role in the incredibly successful feature film Avatar, Stephen Lang says that acting with the CGI dinosaurs is not so different from the work he did in the movie and it requires focus and imagination.

The show – filmed in Queensland, Australia – will be an adventure/thriller, but executive producer Brannon Braga says it will also be about second chances and exploring humanity and hope. Jose Molina also said that the dinosaurs will not be ignored (like the polar bears in LOST) and we will see quite a lot of them. We will also get to see more of the future, but the first batch of episodes will focus on the Shannon family’s life in Terra Nova.

All in all, it looks like we have got a great show in the making, guys.

This one is going to be pretty good, I can feel it.

Chuck at Comic-Con: Season 5 Spoilers

The complete Chuck cast made its final appearance at Comic-Con this morning as the show enters its last season on NBC in the fall. Cast members Mark Christopher Lawrence, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay, Adam Baldwin, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez and Zach Levi were in attendance, as was executive producer Chris Fedak.

With the show entering its final season on NBC, EP Chris is happy to be going out on his own terms for season 5. The final season will be very much about going back to basics. Chris saids that Chuck “has to be far greater now, and this is what happens when you take away Superman’s cape”. He’ll also be running Carmichael Industries. Josh reports that Morgan just “wants to hurt people and take revenge” with his new powers.

Yvonne is very much looking forward to taking a break now that Josh’s character will be taking up most of the limelight in season 5, even though the Thailand episode was one of her favorites and she still wants to kick some ass next season.

Adam spilled about the fact that he’s going to be getting a new love interest named Gertrude, but he can’t spill much more than that.

The panel didn’t want to give away too much, but there will be a couple of big bads this upcoming season. Mark Hamill will be appearing in the season premiere as a villain. And expect the unexpected: a lot of things that were “givens” will change by the end of the season and there will be many big reveals.

This year Ellie knows about Chuck’s spy life and it’s much more of a family business. Awesome and Ellie will be much more involved in the spy business this year, not just in the home life. Awesome will be gravitating more towards Chuck’s world and Ryan revealed that the stakes will be very high.

EP Chris also revealed that this is the season where it will all fall apart between Jeff and Lester. We’ll see a “war between the two men” that will be very dramatic. But rest assured, fans, there will “definitely be another Jeffster” before the end of the year.

But some fans might cringe with the following announcement by EP Chris: “someone might not survive this season and it’s going to be big”.

Warehouse 13 at Comic-Con: Season 3 Spoilers

Actor Neil Grayston is the moderator for the Warehouse 13 panel, which had executive producer Jack Kenny and stars Allison Scagliotti (Claudia), Saul Rubinek (Artie), Eddie McClintock (Pete) and Joanne Kelly (Myka).

The Warehouse 13 team talked a lot about Aaron Ashmore (Steve) joining the cast in season 3 as one of the new Warehouse agents. The writers didn’t want everyone to just assume that Myka would return to the Warehouse after quitting and wanted to bring in a replacement. They actually cast Aaron only days before the table reading of the season premiere. EP Jack says that Aaron’s character is a very funny addition to the cast.

Also, Allison said that Steve is the first person in the Warehouse who can really be a peer for Claudia and will have a hand in her evolution of becoming a Warehouse agent. The realtionship between Claudia and Steve will be complex and the end of the season will be “mind blowing”.

Joanne also explained that season 2 was an emotional year for Myka, while season 3 will be about her working her way back into the Warehouse family. Eddie says that Pete definitely wants Myka back, because the two are like brother and sister, so Pete is obviously upset about her leaving.

Season 3 Spoilers

The cast actually gave out quite a few teasers about season 3. First, each episode of the season will have a different tone. Also, one upcoming episode (with Neil Grayston guest starring) will be taking place inside of a video game. Saul will be playing a Monty Python version of Artie, while Eddie will be playing a gladiator. This will be either episode 3.05 or 3.06 and is called "Don't Hate the Player"

The upcoming Christmas episode will be full of fan easter eggs. The writers constantly ask themselves whether fans will like potential storylines and make an effort to make fans happy.

Star Trek’s Kate Mulgrew will be guest starring for a four episode arc in season 3 and fans will see pieces of different Warehouses this season (including the one in Constantinople).

EP Jack said that they’re actually pitching the idea of a Warehouse 12 spin-off (with HG Wells) to Syfy and the network seems very interested in pursuing the idea. It’s early days, but the possibility of a spin-off seems promising.

With lines for Ballroom 20 totaling over 7,000 people, it seems everyone wanted to know what’s next for the Walking Dead. Cast members Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Jon Bernthal, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus along with executive produce Gale Anne Hurd, creators/writers Frank Darabont and Robert Kirkman and head of special effects Greg Nicotero were on hand to give us all the details.

Before bringing the cast out, Chris Hardwick, moderator of the panel, took some time to speak with the executive producers and creators behind the show.

So how exactly do you sell a show like this to a network like AMC? According to Kirkman, AMC “had enough vision to try something this crazy” possibly sparked by their search for a show that could be included in their fear fest Halloween block of programming.

While Kirkman says he never really thought the comics could be a TV show because of it’s dark zombie apocalyptic themes, Darabont mentioned he immediately thought about it like that.

Obviously though the show wouldn’t be what it is without the amazing special effects by Greg and his team. Nicotero always assumed everyone loved zombies and said he has been really determined to follow the content he’s given and use what he knows to fine-tune it to each specific zombie.

In fact they even have zombie school in Atlanta. Who wouldn’t want to sign up for that? Apparently, Hardwick really wants in as he begged to be made into a zombie so he could be shot in the face.

With the growing enthusiastic and obsessive fan base, Kirkman and co realize there is an increased pressure to tell bigger stories in the upcoming season. With a room full of writers who are familiar with the content now, people are clamoring to be a part of it.

It’s at this point in the panel where the EPIC and exclusive Comic-Con season 2 trailer was shown. To describe it in three words it was: Intense, emotional and crazy. As Lincoln’s character Rick Grimes says in the trailer “it’s all about slim chances now and a slim chance is better than none.

The cast members of The Walking Dead came out to thunderous applause as they filed into their seats on the panel stage.

Hardwick then went down the panel asking the cast how they got involved in the show among other things. Andrew and Jon both went the traditional route and were blown away upon reading the scripts they received whereas Jeff started with a phone call from Darabont who asked him “How would you like to come to Atlanta and kill zombies?”

Sarah and Laurie both remarked on the amazing scripts for season 2, which will push their characters even further than before. Sarah even goes so far to call them “unprecedented” and declares that 8-year-old Carl is going to blow your mind this season.

A funny moment with Steven Yeun happened when he mentioned that his typical day working on the set includes waking up, doing a tick check, going to work, sweating your butt off and then doing another tick check when he gets home. He mentions one of the little blood-sucking bugs once climbed his ‘mountain’ if you know what he means and put up a flag on top. Apparently there are a lot of ticks in Atlanta.

There will jump forward in time for the new season as it picks up in overlap with the first season when they are driving away from the CDC.

With the cast being a strong group of cohorts fighting again the zombie apocalypse, what would Kirkman do if there really was one? “I would jump off a bridge.” Without a doubt, he says he’d kill himself.

Some other interesting tidbits we learned during the panel:

Kirkman would pick Ed O’Neill to play Michon, Tyrese and the governor.

Full house zombies? Hardwick is totally on board and jokingly encouraging the creative team down this route.

Most of the cast try to do as many of the stunts as they can.

Fake blood tastes all right and is made of corn syrup and food coloring but the solution to blacken a zombie’s gum is disgusting.

The special effects team has got the standard zombie makeup time down to an hour and a half.

So are you excited for the next season of The Walking Dead? What would you do in a zombie apocalypse? Do you want to attend Zombie school? Let us know in the comments below!

Mark your calendars as The Walking Dead returns to AMC Sunday, October 16th at 9pm!!

In the exclusive Comic-Con trailer for the new season, Dexter is seen pondering over his victim’s religious tattoos and asks him, “How do you reconcile your belief with what you’ve done?”

Is Dexter on a search for God?

It seems so. Michael C. Hall, C.S Lee (Masuka), David Zayas (Batista), James Remar (Harry), Colin Hanks and executive producers Sarah Colleton and Scott Buck were on hand to discuss just that at yesterday’s panel held in Ballroom 20 as part of Showtime’s Tired of Ordinary Television panel at Comic-Con 2011.

Colleton says the upcoming season will address bigger issues as “Dexter knows what he doesn't want to pass on (to Harrison) but what does he want to pass on?” In true Dexter style, he has a deep desire to define faith which by "it's very nature is undefinable."

With Harrison obviously a bit older in this season, Hall remarked that Dex is in a place where he has finally processed Rita’s death through his involvement with Lumen and is at a point where he doesn’t feel equipped to provide his son with the guidance that he needs. This is especially true when it comes to spiritual guidance.

James Remar meanwhile said Harry would provide guidance to Dex by taking on the devil’s advocate role this season and acting as a sounding off board for Dexter to throw his ideas to and talk things out with.

New guest star Colin Hanks claimed “I can’t confirm or deny involvement in the Dexter program.” However, we did learn at least learn his character’s name, Travis Marshall and the most of his time on set is spent with Edward James Olmos. Mos (Def) who plays Brother Sam in the upcoming season appeared during the Audience Q and A portion of the panel as he stepped up to the microphone and asked “Can I come up on stage with you guys?”

Both of the actors are gracious about their roles and excited to be working on what they both feel is one of the best shows on TV. Hanks further remarked that this season we will see stuff we haven’t seen before.

C.S. Lee mentioned Masuka will have some fun and maybe get in a little bit of trouble with some interns at Miami metro where as Zaya’s Batista will continue to have a “caliente” relationship with LaGuerta.

As for the question on everyone’s mind about when and how Deb will find out about her brother’s dark passenger, Buck said “Deb is smart, but Dexter is smarter.”

Plans to wrap up Dexter and provide him with some resolution are not in place just yet. Hall stated that “everyone has their own thoughts about it but that time will come.”

Lucky for us, it doesn’t seem to be coming any time soon.

Other interesting tidbits/moments about during our favorite serial killer's panel revealed during the audience question and answer portion of the panel included:

Michael C. Hall thanking his fellow actors for the “totally inorganic long pauses” needed for Dexter’s inner dialogue.

C.S. Lee’s favorite season has “yet to come because Deb and Masuka need to get married.”

When getting nervous looks from others in the supermarket, Hall gives them back.

Hall’s favorite scene when not embracing his dark passenger took place in season 5 when Dex tells Astor he loves her as it really shows the evolution the character has made.

Ringer Press Room at Comic-Con: Spoilers and Show Details

I have to admit, sitting at a table with Sarah Michelle Gellar is an unreal experience. In real life, she's sweet and very funny. I took part in Ringer's first ever press room at Comic-Con, as well as Sarah's second ever appearance at the large convention. Nestor Carbonell (Victor), Ioan Gruffudd (Andrew) and Kris Polaha (Henry) were joined by producers Eric C. Charmelo, Nicole Snyder and Pam Veasey for the press room. They sat down to talk to us about how they joined the show, what they love about their characters and what's in store for this mysterious new series.

Producers Eric C. Charmelo, Nicole Snyder and Pam Veasey

Up first was our table with the producers. Eric and Nicole originally plotted out three seasons. They think that actors like Sarah and Nestor who both worked on iconic shows have a built in fanbase and they want to make sure they do the fans justice. But they also believe that they are such good actors that they can easily slot into these different roles. Buffy fans may be disappointed about the lack of vampires, but there will be some action in Ringer, as well as suspense and danger.

The producers believe that the story can keep going because these characters can always be put in suspicious, dangerous and different situations that always open up another question. Once each question is answered, they will bring up new mysteries.

Flashbacks will be a part of this show. They explained that Bridget and Siobhan are basically like night and day and we will definitely be learning more about their history. We'll see the sisters together pre-estrangement and learn what lead to their estrangement. The show is about each character having two faces: one in private and one in public. They'll show us scenes in Wyoming, in Lake Tahoe (where Bridget and Siobhan are from) and New York.

A lot of noir films were the inspiration for Ringer, including The Last Seduction, Blood Simple and Dressed to Kill, as well as the show Damages.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Nestor Carbonell

Next came Sarah and Michelle, who get along like old friends. Sarah joked that Ringer is like a cross between Buffy and Cruel Intentions. She also explained that she's in her 30s but is a big CW watcher (she likes Gossip Girl and America's Next Top Model) and believes that the network wants to broaden their age range a bit and Ringer can help with that. I agree with her because when you watch the show you'll recognize it is geared towards a slightly more grown-up audience than 90210, for example. CBS has a specific formula and audience and while she respects it, she thinks that The CW is probably a better fit in the end.

Sarah came into the show after Eric and Nicole pitched the idea to her, so she got involved after the initial planning stages for the next three seasons. While she has had some input, she said that she's very happy with what they came up with for the series.

Nestor was asked about his character and explained that Victor had a friendship with Bridget and was trying to protect her while she's going to be a witness, but then met Siobhan (who is actually Bridget) and believes that Siobhan is just as wily and crafty as her sister. He believes that each character is fueled by blind ambition and also thinks that Victor himself is hiding secrets.

Sarah says that each character will be going through emotional developments but believes that Bridget might be going through the biggest learning experience.

Ioan Gruffudd and Kris Polaha

These two debonair men were our last pair to be interviewed. Both Ioan and Kris were attracted to the fact that Sarah Michelle Gellar was attached to the project. They’re currently shooting the second episode and said there are several questions that won’t be answered until the end of the season, but there are many questions

Expect to be introduced to a new character in the second episode: Olivia, Andrew’s business partner (played by Jamie Murray).

Ioan created his own backstory for his character. He believes Siobhan is a big part of Andrew’s success and is the brains behind many things. But their marriage has soured for some reason and now he’s desperate to have her back.

Kris was also told a few details about his character, Henry. He was told that Henry was born on the Upper West Side. He and the others on the show now live in a socialite world, but Henry doesn’t really vibe with that group and Siobhan also didn’t come from money, so they bonded over their similarities. Henry was in a position to make some major changes in his life before the pilot episode and hoped Siobhan might join him, but when Bridget takes over Siobhan’s life, she upsets their relationship.

Ioan believes the show has a duty to answer questions of backstory: Siobhan and Andrew’s marriage and their problems, as well as how Henry and Siobhan started their relationship.

Kris said that The CW has rolled out the red carpet for the show, including how much they’re willing to spend per episode and on promotion for the show. Kris thinks The CW is a good fit for Ringer. He used the example of Supernatural (since he and Jensen Ackles are friends), which is a show that doesn’t get huge ratings, but is currently going into its seventh season and has an impressive international appeal. He said that if a show like Ringer didn’t premiere to good ratings on CBS it might not last, but that it can flourish on a network like The CW.

As a final comment, Ioan and Kris are dying to see a confrontation between their two characters when Andrew finds out about Siobhan’s affair with Henry. I think the rest of us are as well.

Game of Thrones Live Blog at Comic-Con

Game of Thrones was a hit for HBO in its first season and garnered many recent Emmy nominations, including a Best Supporting Actor nomination for fan favorite Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister. While the second season isn’t expected to air until the spring of 2012, the cast will be back to work on Monday to film it. Casting spoilers have already been released for season 2’s new characters (such as Stannis Baratheon and Melisandre). Expect the action to heat up in the second episode as multiple houses and factions go to war over the Iron Throne in the second season.

Today, Game of Thrones makes it first ever appearance at Comic-Con and the room is packed with fans eagerly awaiting members of the cast and the producers. The panel will be moderated by none other than the man who wrote the books that inspired the television series: George R.R. Martin.

We’ll be live blogging the Game of Thrones panel here for you, updating our information every 5 minutes or so. Make sure to keep refreshing this page for new information (which will be added to the bottom).

3:05. George R.R. Martin walks to the stage to thunderous applause. A video summarizing the first season is shown. Emilia’s very attracted to Dany and GRRM’s amazing words.

3.18. David Benioff got hooked on the books in 2006. Back then they discussed the possibility of doing it as a movie. But they spoke to George and said they could only adapt the books as an HBO series.

3.20. Lena paid a hero in Sarah Connor Chronicles and now she’s playing a character that a lot of fans hate. She enjoys playing a character that isn’t trying to be morally good, but thinks that Cersei is very misunderstood.

3.22. Who would win, Khal Drogo or Conan? Jason thinks Drogo would kick Conan’s ass. They’re discussing how much they loved the scene of Drogo ripping out of the throat of one of his fellow tribesmen.

3.25. There’s thunderous applause for Peter Dinklage and his Emmy nomination. GRRM talks about how Kit has become a new heartthrob.

3.28. What can fans expect on the DVD sets? They didn’t have any deleted scenes and used nearly everything they shot, so don’t expect them on the DVD. But the team is putting together a lot of supplementary materials, including art from Will Simpson. They’ll also be including the first auditions of the cast. Apparently Jason does “the dance that won him the role”. They went all over the world to find the actor to play Khal Drogo and they went on fan boards and someone suggested Jason’s name. Jason apparently came in to read for the part and just tore off his shirt and did a dance.

3.34. Nicolaj really likes his last scene in the season finale with Catelyn Stark, but Jon likes his scene with Arya and really enjoyed filming the fight scenes. Lena said that they just read some of season 2, but enjoyed doing scenes in season 1 with Mark Addy (who played Robert). Peter enjoyed the scenes of when Tyrion was on trial. Emilia said that she likes the final scene of season 1 when Dany rose with the dragons.

3:37. GRRM takes a moment to acknowledge the actors that can't be here at Comic-Con as well as the crew. Now they're opening the floor up to questions from the audience.

3.39. Emilia says that she’s trying to pace herself in reading the books so that she’s not too far ahead of the seasons. She only started reading book two after finishing season 1. GRRM says that he keeps killing characters because he wants people emotionally involved in his stories and that if the characters are in dangerous situations then we should also expect the unexpected to happen.

3:41. Lena says that everyone deserves to have a little humanity, even Cersei. She says that Cersei thought life was going to be very different and her actions now are just her trying to cope with what is happening.

3:46. Peter says the scene that really hooked him the show was the first scene in the pilot with the white-walkers - the supernatural element that is on the periphery of the story.

3:49. What can we expect for season 2? David says that the book readers know what to expect, but there’s a lot of new characters coming in and it’s time to see the dragons in action. There is also bad things lurking north of the Wall. Their hope has always been that there is a certain scene in “Storm of Swords” (two thirds of the way in) and they’re trying to keep going so that they can finally film and air that scene (he dubbed it the “RW” scene).

3:50. They are hoping to film the scene of the Battle of Blackwater as it is written, but warns that it is very expensive. There will be a battle, but we’re not sure of the scope yet. GRRM is concerned about the ultimate ending of the series. He’s juggling a lot of storylines but hopes he can bring everything together as he sees it in his head. Fans should expect a bittersweet ending. He loves the ending of the Lord of the Rings - tragedy mixed in with triumph - and he wants to do the same.

3:55. Emilia said that when she read the books, Dany seemed very real to her. Women are strong and sexy and powerful and should own those characteristics. Kit says that he’s looking forward to Jon focusing on storylines other than just his family in season 2 and that his world is really opening up.

4:00. The panel ends.

Ringer Panel at Comic-Con: Spoilers and Photos

Sarah Michelle Gellar returned to Comic-Con for her second ever appearance and she was very welcomed by the fans. Joining her on the Ringer panel were fellow cast members Nestor Carbonell, Kristoffer Polaha, Ioan Gruffudd, as well as producers Eric C. Charmelo, Nicole Snyder and Pam Veasey.

This is the first series for Sarah after ending Buffy years ago. She told the audience that she always wanted to return to television, but wanted to come back to a show that fans and she would love. Producers Nicole and Eric approached her. They had three seasons already planned out and Sarah was very intrigued and loved the twists in the script. She later joked that she was personally involved in casting all the hot guys on the show.

As most of you probably know, Ringer was originally developed for CBS but moved to The CW. The panel insisted that The CW has embraced the serialized aspect of the show (but maybe with hipper music). It wasn’t a difficult transition. CBS is more known for procedural shows, but Ringer works well on The CW. Sarah thinks they have some more freedom on the CW and can take more risks.

One theme that was brought up several times was that of moral ambiguity. Nestor likes the fact that all of Ringers’ characters have moral ambiguities (which also occurred on Lost). Nestor also likes the noir aspect of the show and the fact that Sarah is attached. He says that the show is very tight and well-written. It’s difficult to pull off a serialized thriller, but the writers are doing a good job.

They plan on answering questions along the way and not dragging out all the mysteries, but they intend to bring up a new mystery when the previous one is solved. They’ll lead us down a path and when you think they know the answers they’ll throw a wrench in. SMG knows where the story is going, but isn’t involved in the writing aspect. In a nutshell, Bridget’s story is one of redemption, while Siobhan’s story is one of revenge.

Will viewers see equal amounts of both sisters? Bridget’s story will ultimately be the focus of season 1. But they are going to have flashbacks and we will see the sisters together. We’ll see Siobhan internationally and focus on Bridget’s world on upper east side. Siobhan will get her own set of supporting characters. In the past, the sisters were on the same path, but bad choices diverged their paths. There’s one incident in particular that caused irreparable damage and we’ll learn more about this in season 1. They’re still figuring out how to film the twin scenes by trial and error. Sometimes Sarah plays opposite a double, sometimes she hears the playback voice in an earpiece.

Ioan spoke a bit about his character. He thinks that Andrew is misunderstood. The current state of his relationship with his wife has devastated him. He wants his old relationship with Siobhan and can see hints of it while Bridget has taken over Siobhan’s life. He also says that Andrew is upset about his current relationship with his daughter, Juliette.

Kris’ character, Henry, is a married writer with twins, but believes that while Henry and Siobhan are having a affair, he definitely believes that Henry loves Siobhan. The pilot shows us that Siobhan isn’t really a nice person, but Kris says that Siobhan shows a nicer side to Henry. Kris said that Henry is a really sophisticated man and completely different character from his character in Life Unexpected.

He also shared a piece of Buffy history. Kris was actually attending NYU when he got flown to LA to audition for his first acting role. He actually auditioned with Sarah and Joss Whedon, but ended up losing the part of Riley to Marc Blucas.

Sarah is very funny in person. She joked that she used to do tons of stunts while on Buffy, but was shocked when Ringer wanted to get stunt doubles to do her stunts.

Don’t expect the publicity of the show to reveal all the of mysteries. The show is built on secrets and lies. They ask the CW publicity people to allude to where they’re going, but they won’t give away too much.

At its core, Ringer is a tale of two sisters. The show will be playing with themes of identity and duplicity. Everyone has two faces.

This year, the bags feature promotional shots from several Warner Bros. television shows, as well as titles from Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment. The full list of shows and games on the bags include:

The Big Bang Theory

Fringe

Supernatural

The Vampire Diaries

Green Lantern: The Animated Series

The Looney Tunes Show

ThunderCats

Batman: Arkham City

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5–7

Justice League

Bags will be handed out to Comic-Con attendees when they pick up their badges. Below are the photos of all Warner Bros. bags available at this year's Comic-Con.

Fox Creates Comic-Con Posters for Fringe, Bones, Glee, Animated Shows & More

Fox is getting into the Comic-Con spirit by creating special posters for the shows that it will be bringing to San Diego in a few weeks (as originally reported by THR). Earlier this week we posted the schedule for all Fox show panels, including which actors/actresses were going to be in attendance (read more here).

The network will be hosting panels for returning shows like Bones, Fringe, Glee, as well as its animated shows (like Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and The Simpsons). The network also plans to introduce some of its new fall shows like Terra Nova, The Finder, and Allen Gregory at Comic-Con.

Fans can pick up copies of the poster at the big Fox booth on the exhibition floor at Comic-Con, were they can be signed by various Fox actors/actresses and show producers.

Below is a slide-show with a collection of the Fox Comic-Con posters. For more about the entire Comic-Con schedule, visit their website.

Personally, I think Bones has the coolest poster, but the Terra Nova ones are also pretty awesome.

Thursday at Comic-Con: Game of Thrones, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Showtime & More

When I went to Comic-Con last year, I spent all of Thursday in the cavernous Hall H watching movie panels. They were actually great (I saw stars like Tina Fey, Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren), although I'm not crazy about the room. This year, Hall H has Twilight and something from 20th Century Fox that is currently unspecified.

Therefore, the place to be is Ballroom 20, where all of the TV stuff is happening, including the Game of Thrones panel, the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar to San Diego, and Showtime and USA shows. NBC's Awake will also be making an appearance in Room 6A, as will a few other shows.

You can find Comic Con's official Thursday schedule here. Try using the My Sched tool to customize your schedule and print it out or put it on your smartphone. It's an invaluable tool, trust me.

In the meantime, here are a few highlights of Thursday's TV schedule:

"Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe", 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Ballroom 20
