Doctor Who : Waters of Mars trailer

The BBC have started to show the trailer for Doctor Who : The Waters of Mars, which will be airing on BBC One on Sunday November 15th at 7pm GMT. The episode is the second of the four 2009 specials, and focuses on the Doctor visiting the Bowie Base One, Mars in 2059. A place in time whose destiny is already written.

UPDATED: Doctor Who – Waters of Mars airdates for US and UK set

Today at the Cheltenham Screenwriter's Festival, the BBC Wales Doctor Who team announced that the first of the remaining three episodes of David Tennant's reign; The Waters of Mars, will be aired on BBC One on Sunday November 15th.

The episode, which is standalone, but leads into the final two-parter is set in the Year 2059 on Earth's first off-world colony, and features an aliens that use a water compound to infect its victims.

The sixty minute special will be followed…

BBC America announced in a press release yesterday the acquisition of the fifth season of the BBC's revival of classic British sci-fi serial Doctor Who. Coming to (BBC) America: Doctor Who & Torchwood

It was announced today that BBC America acquired the rights to air five Doctor Who specials.

The 2008 Christmas special, The Next Doctor, is set to air on June 27, 2009. Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead will debut in July, and Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars will be released later this year. The other two specials are slated for late 2009 or early 2010.
