The highly anticipated fourth season of Torchwood, titled "Miracle Day," will be set mostly in the ole U.S. of A, with the cast and crew using one word to describe the awesomeness that is headed our way: "bigger."

"It's going to be bigger and better," John Barrowman, aka Captain Jack himself, told Deadline Monday. "...the audience is going to need a forklift truck to pick their jaws up off the ground."

Barrowman, who served as a companion to both the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) in Doctor Who, was excited about discussing a stunt which he declared couldn't have been shot in Wales because of the budget. A helicopter scene in the opening sequence proves his point.

"If we were in Wales shooting, we might not have had that, or we would have to rewrite the sequence."

According to producer Julie Gardner, Torchwood: Miracle Day has a budget that triples the previous seasons that were shot in the UK, giving the show's producers the opportunity to go wild with the type of stunts they can pull off. The helicopter scene is a prime example of this newfound freedom. But the explosions and transcontinental scope of the story aren't the only things of Torchwood that is expected to get an upgrade. Add 'sex' onto the list as well.

"Jack will have his little dabblings and the audience will get what they want," Barrowman promised to the die-hard fans of his bisexual TV counterpart, who is a legendary conquistador when it comes to sexual relations. In other words, no American is safe from the charms of Captain Jack Harkness.

So, 'bigger' is the operative word when it comes to Torchwood: Miracle Day this summer. And we would not have it any other way.

The ten part series will also star the other two remaining original Torchwood stars Eve Myles and Kai Owens, along with newcomers Mekhi Phifer, Bill Pullman, Alexa Havins, Dichen Lachman, Lauren Ambrose, and Arlene Tur.

Torchwood: Miracle Day premieres July 8th on Starz. It would be wise to bone up for subscription to the channel now.

Barrowman for 'Glee?' Maybe

John Barrowman, a star of British television shows Doctor Who and Torchwood, recently made the move from Scotland to the U.S., and is currently taking it by storm. The 43-year-old actor has already appeared in a multi-episode arc on Desperate Housewives, and his show Torchwood has been picked up by the American network Starz. What's next? Well, it seems that Barrowman might be making the leap from fighting aliens to singing songs.

The actor, who has participated in several stage productions, has recently claimed that he's discussing a part in FOX's hit sophomore series with network execs. "I met with their casting people and I said I'd love to be in it," Barrowman told British celebrity magazine Now. "The ball's in their court, though."'

Barrowman had previously made claims of being in talks for a role in March, though this was denied by Glee's executive producer Ian Brennan, says Digital Spy.

But what role would Barrowman like? Well, he told Heat that he'd like to be one of main character Rachel Berry's two gay dads. "I'd be good as one of [them]!" he claimed. Barrowman is openly gay, and has portrayed Jack Harkness as an omnisexual man with several male relationships in Torchwood and Doctor Who. Playing gay in Glee would be nothing new for him.

"I have no idea if I'll be in it," Barrowman claimed, stating that he had met with several of the show's casting directors and expressed his interest in the show.

One problem that could potentially arise is if his role in Glee turned out to be recurring and overlapped with the upcoming filming of Torchwood's fourth season-- though I wouldn't worry too much about that -- now that Torchwood's production has moved stateside, things should be much easier to negotiate.

What do you think? Would you like to see Barrowman on Glee?

Your boy is BAD!!!!!!! Desperate Housewives returned in top form by pushing the storylines into overdrive this week, bringing the two top mysteries closer to what could be an explosive finish!!!! So let's recap!!!

The Set Up

Another girl has went missing in Fairview, and like Mary Alice laments, no one really has paid attention... Except the killer himself.

Susan and Mike

Mike's tested "manhood", a storyline that should have been nipped in the bud earlier, rears it's ugly head again this week and it's getting worse since Mike still doesn't get the whole partnership aspect of marriage.

After Susan sees someone trying to repossess Mike's symbolic truck (and making a spectacle about it), Mike reveals that he is behind on the payments on his truck. Susan immediately offers to help, but Mike declines to touch his wife's money and wants to work things out on his own. He also has an issue with everyone knowing his business, which isn't really Susan's fault since everyone was witness to the repossession of his truck.

MJ, being a naive kid, tries to clog up the sink in their house so Mike can get work, which in turn gives Susan an idea. She asks Gaby, Lynette, and Bree permission to clog up their pipes with dirt to get Mike some jobs and pays them off. Later, Mike discovers this ruse after finding Susan's earring in Gaby's drain and he is not amused nor understanding of Susan's actions.

Later, Mike reveals to an initially unknown person the extent of his financial troubles and how he doesn't want to be a failure in Susan's eyes. The person turns out to be Carlos, who offers to help Mike out by writing a check. So, Mike, you can take money from a friend, which you still will have to repay, but you can't take money from your wife, whom you don't have to repay? You are associating your contractions with the wrong people, bro.

Gaby, Bob, and Lee

After overhearing Bob and Lee arguing, Gaby throws herself into the center of their drama: their latest egg donor has flaked and Lee can't take the heartache of not getting to raise a kid any longer. Enter Gaby, who decides that she will donate her eggs to the cause and by the time she utters her contribution, I already call a bad ending to this story line.

Gaby tells Carlos of her plans, but of course, he blows a gasket. Gaby tells him that she will do what she want with her eggs, since they are hers, and she wants to give them to Lee and Bob. Again, partnership seems to have taken a back road this week on Wisteria Lane.

Gaby celebrates with Lee and Bob, but a series of unfortunate events prevents anyone leaving with a happy face. First, Lee doesn't want Gaby to drink any alcoholic beverages; secondly, Gaby interjects what Lee and Bob can and can't do with the baby; and three, it finally dons on Gaby that she won't be playing "Mommy" with the baby, after all, and she has a revelation.

After asking Carlos to break the news to Lee and Bob for her, Gaby makes her way to their house after the smoke clears. Turns out that after Carlos dropped that nasty bombshell of Gaby rescinding her offer, Bob and Lee got into it again, but this time Lee left for good. Oh no!!!! Gaby feels like crap, but Bob says that it wasn't her fault, but we know he is possibly ready to rip her throat out. I knew this wouldn't be a good ending, but damn...

Patrick Writes A Book... Sort of.

Patrick Logan (special guest star John Barrowman) finds a way into Danny's life without being too suspicious, and that involves Danny's job at The Coffee Cup. Patrick poses as an aspiring author, who is writing a book about a tragic love story and wants Danny's opinion on how it should end. After Patrick practically lays down his and Angie's past through subtext, Danny comes up with the perfect ending: kill the girl who spurned the main character. Wrong answer, dude.

Later one night, Angie returns home to a darkened house and hears noises. She finds a weapon, but the phone rings and its Nic, who Angie begs to come home quick. Outside her window, Patrick watches intently.

Patrick returns to The Coffee Cup later to tell Danny that he has decided to change his "story" ending by taking something from the woman that would devastate her. Danny, naive, correctly guesses the kid is the woman's heart, which Patrick confirms. Am I the only one who thinks that the apple didn't fall far from the Logan family tree, because Danny's answers were of the tip of the tongue variety.

The "Son" Wars

Sam Allen shows his true colors this week and if Bree doesn't get the hint now, then I will gladly have a "Come to Jesus" talk with her myself.

After Andrew drops the bombshell that Sam doesn't have a MBA degree, which Andrew did extensive research to find out, Sam defuses the bomb by explaining that he is a few classes short due to taking care of his ill mother, who later died. Andrew looks stupid as Bree berates him. Later, Sam approaches Bree about something that might explain Andrew's recent fiasco. Seem that Andrew has been stealing from the company via charging customers for items they didn't receive. Andrew confesses, but thinks that Sam dug it up to use against him. Andrew is right, of course, but don't give the bastard material to work with, dude!!!! Bree fires Andrew for defying her and asks for his keys to the kitchen. Sam watches, relishing in Andrew's misery.

Later as Sam and Bree try out a recipe for a new southern cookbook Bree is about to write, Sam is shocked to find out that Bree is thinking about reinstating Andrew with the company after Andrew chills out. I don't think Sam likes this one bit, but is he that stupid to try anything? Keep reading...

During Bree's dinner for the cookbook, Bree finds out from her editor/financier that people are tired of southern cookbooks, which means he's sticking his neck out for this one. So, to add more weight on Bree's shoulders, the inevitable happens and Sam discovers there is something wrong with the dishes. The wrong ingredient was used and the plates are going out to the crowd as Bree realizes this. She can't fathom how such a faux pas came to be, but Sam helps her by suggesting that Andrew sabotaged her since he hasn't returned the keys to the kitchen. Bree doesn't have to think about this (unfortunately), because she has to salvage her career. Her 'Desperate' Moment? Set off the fire extinguishers before anyone tastes the food.

Later at home, Bree laments how Andrew could be so petty, but Orson thankfully explains to Bree the logistics of how Andrew isn't the culprit and how Sam might have something up his sleeve. Thank you, Orson, for being useful and using your brain again. Now, Bree, thank Orson and use yours.

Lynette Comes Through, But The Strangler Strikes Again...

While witnessing Irina shop for her wedding dress, Lynette bonds with the shop owner, also Russian, over the bitchery that is Irina, who only speaks to the shop owner in their native language. When Irina goes to change her dress, her phone rings and she tells Lynette to answer it. The caller is also Russian and sounds pissed off. Irina talks to the caller in Russian, but in a condescending tone. Lynette asks who was it, but Irina is not about to divulge that information to her. After Irina returns to the dressing room, the shopkeeper is more than happy to reveal what Irina said. Who says you can't find good help these days?

Lynette later goes to Immigration services, but can't get any help from the worker she is talking to due to lack of evidence. Lynette also deduces that the worker isn't getting her situation, since he is single and childless. Lynette does find a woman in immigration who is willing to help, because, she too, has an unwanted daughter-in-law. All Lynette needs is Irina's passport number and she will be in business.

While trying to get the passport number, Irina and Preston come back. As Lynette hides behind the closet door, the couple proceeds to engage in sex. So, Lynette, in her "Desperate" Moment this week, takes a baseball and throws it through the window to divert attention as she sneaks out the room.

On the day of the wedding, everyone runs around getting ready, except Lynette, who sulks in the backyard. Tom eventually finds her and listens as she vents her frustration about the while situation to him, telling Tom that she can't attend the wedding, because she doesn't believe in it. As soon as Lynette is about to give up, the immigration worker drives up with a HUGE folder. Uh-oh... I smell some ammunition!!!!

Lynette confronts Irina about her two previous marriages, prostitution background, and her thieving ways. Irina lies at first, but as the evidence stacks against her, she comes clean. Lynette listens as Irina berates her and gloats about how no matter if Lynette does tell Preston, he will still believe Irina. Not so fast, you gold-digging bitch! Lynette and Irina turn to see Preston staring at his 'blushing' bride. He asks his mom for privacy with Irina. She gives it to him. Boy, to be a fly on THAT wall!!!

Later, Lynette apologizes to Preston for what happened as he sulks in his room. She tells him that she will rather have him hate her than sit and watch him ruin his life. The scene plays out beautifully as Lynette tells her son that she will be there waiting for him when he's finished hating her, and to hurry up, because she is missing him already. All together now: "AAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!"

Outside, Irina leaves the Scavo house, but she is stopped by a car that we have seen before. In it is none other than Eddie, aka the FAIRVIEW STRANGLER!!!!!!!! He picks up Irina and after she insults him he pulls over, kills her, and buries the body. The next morning he returns to the Scavo house as if nothing happened, while Mary Alice rightfully closes the show saying that "we don't pay attention to evil, because we don't think it will ever come to our house. But it does... and sometimes we let it in..."

Amen, sister!

The Wisteria Lane Ledger

- I KNEW IT!!!! I smelled creepy rat bastard on Eddie every since the episode titled "The Coffee Cup" aired. Again, read my article all about my summations here. But who will figure out who the kid is? Will it be Lynette? And if so, I pray that nothing happens to the baby...

- Patrick Logan might be getting closer and I bet a lot of people feel as if his introduction has been watered down, but I bet he will turn up the amp very soon.

- I wonder if this is the end of Lee and Bob? First, Kobin and now Lob? Gay DH fans might not be happy about the recent turn of events for their representation on the show... But it was nice to see Gaby doing something seriously unselfish this week, despite how it ended. I think Gaby herself might want another baby, but not the crap that comes with having one. I could be way off base on that one though....

- Mike needs to talk with my dad about cooperation in a marriage and how without it, you can't possibly manage to survive 'happily ever after'.

- Sam Allen better reveal his true colors soon and Bree better be ready to kick his ass to the curb when he does.

See you guys next Sunday!!!

Desperate Housewives 6.18 "My Two Young Men" Recap

As we get closer to the end of the season, the danger heads to Wisteria Lane faster than a speeding locomotive, but only for a select few on Wisteria Lane. But again, who will be laying in it's path when it hits?

Bree vs. the Missing Van Der Kamp Debacle

Bree is determined to welcome Sam Allen into the family, because by God, he's a Van Der Kamp and will be treated as such. Clearly, Andrew didn't get the memo, because he is not kosher with his new bro. Bree throws a dinner for Sam Allen that consists of Orson, Andrew and Danielle, who likes her new brother. But when Bree mentions that Rex played the guitar, Sam shows off his own skills using Rex's old guitar, which Bree wants to bestow to Sam as a gift. Of course Andrew gets upset and demands to keep the guitar. When that wish isn't met, he smashes the thing in front of everyone.

Bree sits with Sam later looking over photos of Rex and she realizes that she doesn't get to talk about Rex that much since she married Orson. This revelation makes her realize how much she missed her deceased husband. Sam, being creepy as ever, says that she can talk to him about Rex anytime she wants. Orson, who has been mostly on the sideline on this issue, has incentive now to throw his hat in. He approaches Andrew about seeing what Sam is really up to, because he is getting dangerously close to Bree. Andrew and Orson teaming up to scheme? The Gates of Hell has just opened...

Susan vs. Gabrielle: Candy Wars

Remember when Juanita was bullying M.J. last season and Susan and Gaby fought in the yard because of it? How about the smartest kid incident earlier this season? Well last night was Round Three: The Candy Wars

When MJ worries about losing a competition to sale the most candy bars at school, Susan vows to help her son achieve his victory, because he sucks in everything else. But she is met with opposition in Juanita and Gaby who are peddling candy bars like a dope dealer dealing crack. Susan and Gaby eventually lock horns and take drastic measures (bribing old college roommates, faking illness, using their assets [Gaby], 'kidnapping' each others kids, etc) to achieve their goals. In the end, it is Susan who initiates a truce after hearing from Juanita why she is campaigning so hard to win the competition. Juanita is worried that Gaby thinks she is a loser cause she can't make any friends or can't keep any. I am going with the latter. Susan teaches the MJ the art of winning without winning, which helps Juanita win the competition by the Delfinos donating 40 bars to Juanita's cause. I love the storylines between Susan and Gaby when it comes to their kids.

Lynette vs. The Russian Bombshell

Lynette and Tom are shocked when Preston breaks their rule of sleeping with Irina under their house. So Preston comes up with a better plan: he and Irina will get an apartment. Tom is livid, but Lynette cheers them on and later reminds Tom of how they were at each others throats when they first got their own apartment. Ingenious plan right? But Preston, who is quickly becoming the most self destructive kid in the world, throws another monkey wrench into Lynette and Tom's upbringing by claiming that to pay for his and Irina's apartment he will use his college savings and get a job as a gutter at a meat factory. See a college education would've probably lead Preston to reading Upton Sinclair's The Jungle and not making short term decisions to fix long term situations. But Preston is dumb and is being smothered by fake boobs and crap across his lip. But, again I digress...

Lynette has a fit and declares that Preston is ruining his life over a girl he has not clue about. Words are said and Irina throws a pot of dinner on Lynette. All I can say is if Lynette had not of been pregnant or any other woman, Irina would have had a well whooped ass.

Later, Lynette is cleaning the mess and when Irina shows up to talk, she tells the Russian Bombshell that she will fight her to the death. Irina says bring it, because she just upped their wedding to next week to help clear Preston's mind on which Mrs. Scavo he should be listening to. I want to bust those inflatable things she calls breasts cause I hate the trick that much.

Katherine vs. The Closet

Wisteria Lane's newest couple are enjoying an afternoon delight, which quickly turns sour when Katherine asks Robin to not make it seem as if they are a couple when they attend Karen McCluskey's cancer free party. Robin is thrown off and wants to know what the deal is, which Katherine simply says is that she doesn't want everyone in her business. Robin agrees, but rather reluctantly. They attend the party and as soon as they get there, Tom introduces Katherine to an admirer. As the guy flirts heavily with Katherine, Robin gets angry and pulls Katherine outside to talk about what Katherine really. Their conversation is heard loud and clear from inside the house. So much for secrecy...

Katherine runs into Mrs. McCluskey and says how embarrassed she was about the big reveal, but Mrs. McCluskey, who again I wish was my neighbor, tells Katherine that she has two choices: either dump Robin or move away with Robin to escape the Wisteria Lane gossip... but face more gossip when they get to where they are going. In short, screw what people say. Live your life, Katherine!

Robin returns home to find her bags packed and Katherine with a stern face. Before I can get "DAMN, THAT's COLD!" out my mouth, Katherine says that Robin needs to go... and that she needs to go with her. AWWWWW!!!!!! Robin picks Paris as the place to go and they leave for France. Bye, Kobin!!!! Hopefully this vacation lasts a week and they are back.

Angie vs. Her Past

After getting back from NYC, Angie pissed Nic off by revealing the true father of Danny to Angie's mother. Nic feels that he is Danny's rightful father since he took care of him since birth and protected him. Angie doesn't think any differently, but feels that they need to keep shut about Patrick Logan being the real father.

Meanwhile in NYC, Iris Beckley, Angie's mother's neighbor, contacts Patrick Logan (the man himself, John Barrowman) and the two set up a meeting to exchange money and info.

Nic finds Danny working on his bike in the garage. After Danny talks about getting a job at the coffee shop with Eddie, Nic comments on Danny's growing sense of responsibility. Nic's entire reason for coming to Danny was to reveal Patrick Logan as his real father, but after Danny says nonchalantly that Nic is his dad during their conversation, a proud Nic decides to keep his mouth shut and remain just that: Danny's father.

Back in NYC, Patrick shows up to Iris's house with flowers. The two have tea and make the exchange, but Iris wants to now question what Patrick wants with Angie, because she just figured out $1000 dollars is not enough to get caught up in some drama. Patrick says that Angie took something from him when Iris asks if he would hurt Angie, because she doesn't want that to happen. Well you should've thought of that in the first place, lady, I mean $1000 in NYC can only get you so far... Anyway... Patrick scares the lady into silence before he pulls his scarf off and seemingly kills her. Hmph.

The night ends with Danny leaving for work and Patrick watching his son from his car a distance away.

The Wisteria Lane Ledger

- Oh, Kobin! How I will miss thee...

- Andrew and Orson, I smell a spin-off.

- John Barrowman. We were only teased to what this man can do and we have to wait till mid-April for his rampage to commence?! Blasphemy!

See you till then...

The Bolen incident is finally revealed and the final showdown is imminent, but which of our favorite characters will be caught in the crossfire? I am getting ahead of myself. Let's recap!

Not A One Night Stand...

Katherine still looks like a mixed cocktail of puzzled and mortified after her night with Robin. You know the look. It happens during drunken one night stands or desperate ones, but again, I digress. Susan knocks on the door wanting to hang with her old bud (my what a few months can do to your psyche), but Katherine tries to shoo her off before she's exposed and ends up failing as Robin plants a sensual kiss on her in front of Susan. BUSTED!

Katherine then takes her problems to gay experts Bob and Lee, who think that Katherine is not gay after just having a drunken night of passion with Robin. Bob does say that he too was heterosexual for awhile, but didn't feel right until he got with a man. Katherine takes this and decides to confront Robin later. When she does, Robin is hurt that Katherine would think that what they had was attributed to alcohol and a bad spell with men. Robin knows what she felt was real and in the end Katherine relents and admits that the passion was indeed real. And folks, we have our first lesbian Wisteria Lane/Desperate Housewife!

Gentle Mike

Susan blindsides Mike with news that she took some of her money from the strip club and paid off his business loan, which he was nowhere near paying off (9% interest? HA!). Mike acts very unappreciative when I know other men (like me) would have praised the ground Susan walked on for loving us that much. But Mike is what my Dad would call "old school" and what Susan did was a big faux pas to his ego.

To make matters worse, Susan calls Mike Katherine's transition person to her newfound lesbian lifestyle, which doesn't sit well with him. Susan is clueless as ever, which isn't anything new, but she doesn't really let it get to her. Later, Mike tries to show off how macho he can be by trying to 'ravish' Susan, but makes a fool of himself. When Susan asks if this has anything to do about him being Katherine's last man before she became a lesbian (which is an ego blower to some men), Mike says it really has to deal with the business loan and how he felt that Susan should have came to first about it. Susan offers to cancel the check the next day and Mike is a calm bear again.

Golddigger In the Scavo House!!!!

Preston brings home a 'nice' Russian girl named Irina, which we all know soured Lynette's grapes a little, because to her, there is no way in hell Preston pulled a supermodel like that, especially with that smear he calls a mustache on his face, imho. Then Irina makes it her business to announce over dinner every purchase that Preston has made for her while in Paris, which included a high priced t-shirt and a boob job, all totaling close to a $1000 dollars. Lynette has her fuse, now she has to light it. But Preston shocks them even further by announcing that he proposed and wants his grandmother's ring that Lynette promised him when he got married. Lynette doesn't want to give up the heirloom to the golddigging tramp, so she comes up with a plan that is so iron clad that it can't go wrong. She takes the ring to a jeweler's so he can give her a cheaper, fake copy of it, because Irina is an opportunist and will get it appraised as soon as it lands on her finger. Lynette hopes that when Irina sees it that she will run for the hills and never look back. But Irina isn't a dumb broad. She does get the ring appraised and decides that she can't take a 'precious' heirloom from Lynette and suggests that Mama Scavo save it for Penny. Oh and did I mention that she said all of this with venomous subtext for Lynette that easily translates to: "It's SOOOOOO ON!!!!"

The Lost Son

Bree pisses Andrew (and me) off when she reveals that she is making Sam Allen VP of her company. While Andrew is already VP, Bree thinks that Sam's help is invaluable and asks for Andrew to accept the help as well. Frak that B.S.! Bree introduces Sam as one of the new VP's to her employees, but Andrew comes in wrecked and makes a spectacle out of himself, which ended with Sam on the floor, courtesy of Andrew. Bree is embarrassed, but Sam leaves to nurse his arm and bruised ego as well.

Later, Bree brings Sam her infamous muffin basket to his place of residency. He isn't home, but Bree decides to leave the muffins inside anyway and finds Sam's secret, which he validates after she confronts him. What is it? Is he a spy working for whoever is looking for the Bolens? No. A relative of George Williams? Nuh uh.

He's Rex's son!!!!!

SHUT. UP!!!!!!

After seeing this, Bree flees. It isn't until later that we find out the story. Sam was born before Rex married Bree and he tried to take care of Sam, but Sam's mother was a proud woman and asked for Rex to stay away for Sam's sake. Sam admits to driving by and seeing the perfect family that he could never be a part of and Bree is floored and very sympathetic. Maybe she should ask Lynette for advice on this subject since she dealt with the exact same damn thing. But again, I digress. As Bree hugs Sam and welcomes him fully into her life, Andrew watches from his window and if you ask me, this was more Season One and Two Andrew, who is lethally dangerous....

Gaby and Angie's Adventures in New York!!!!!

Gaby is shocked to find out from Angie that not only has Danny went to NYC to find Ana, but that Ana knows of Gaby's treachery as well. She decides to go with Angie and find their loved ones. When she gets there, Gaby reveals to Angie that she used to be a model and when she presses for Angie to reveal her past, Angie clams up. When Gaby reaches NYC, she is shocked when top models Heidi Klum and Paulina Porizkova both give her the cold shoulder based on her behavior before she left NYC with Carlos. According to Gaby's old agent, Luke, Gaby was hell on heels and everyone got sick of her and that Ana is headed te same way. Luke also informed Gaby that the real reason she left the modeling world is because her time was up and that Carlos proposing to her couldn't have came at a better moment, because she was about to be "out" in terms of fashion and popularity. Damn, this woman has more issues/layers than an onion head.

When Gaby finally finds Ana, she warns her niece to salvage her career while she got the chance and don't end up like her.

Meanwhile, Angie finds out that Danny contacted his grandmother and is staying with her. When she goes to her old home, Angie is met with a slap from her mother, Mrs. DeLuca, for keeping Danny aka Tyler away from her all these years. Mrs. DeLuca wants Danny to stay with her since the real person that Patrick Logan is after is Angie and not Danny. But Angie reveals something (that we don't hear) that gets Mrs. DeLuca to change her mind and send Danny on his way, because it's not safe for any of them if he does stay.

While Gaby waits outside, a neighbor of Mrs. DeLuca approaches Gaby and asks about Angie. Gaby, being in the dark, tells the woman Angie's new place of residency. Uh -Oh...

While on the plane back, Gaby gets Angie to trust her and reveal the deep dark secret. It turns out that Angie was a eco-freak who protested against all polluters who harmed the environment. Then she met Patrick Logan who took it to the extreme and got someone killed. It was Nic who got them out and kept them safe from Logan's grasp. She then reveals that Logan is Danny's true father. DUN DUN DUN!!!!!

The show closes out for the night with that nosy ass neighbor of Mrs. DeLuca calling Patrick Logan and spilling the beans... all for a measly $1000.

Bitch.

The Wisteria Lane Ledger

- All I got to say for the Bolen mystery now is this: Enter John Barrowman.

- I hope Lynette lays the smackdown on Irina. While the girl is hot, I don't like golddiggers at ALL!

- So Sam is REX'S SON!!!!! DID NOT see that coming! But like I said, we saw this with Lynette before and God knows that it did not end well with her, so I think that Sam is not just looking for lost time with his brother and sister. And if Andrew has his way, Sam might be meeting his father in front of the Holy Father soon.

- I'm liking where the Kobin storyline is heading. It's sad to know how it will end though...

- Will we ever find out of my theory of the Fairview Strangler is true? I mean that just sort of disappeared...

What did you guys think? Hit me up her or Twitter me @theanticritic! See you next week!!!

Oh, and the Hub just exploded with Captain Jack Harkness still inside. Must be Tuesday.

Never fear, because anyone who watches Torchwood knows that Jack can’t stay dead. Not only that, but both Gwen and Ianto have managed to escape the explosion and the subsequent attempts on their life by the evil Agent Johnson. One of the rare moments of comic relief in this series comes when a PC on the scene of the Hub explosion continues to insist that he knows Gwen Cooper and she’s not a terrorist…even all the way in the van to raiding her flat. Gwen grabs her ever-loyal husband Rhys (the much underappreciated Kai Owen) and the two wisely flee Cardiff Bay, but not before getting a call from Ianto so they know he’s alive. Rhys puts up with way more than any sane man should, God bless him, and he’s getting the hang of this. Looks like he’s about to become the unofficial fourth member of the band.

Gwen and Rhys flee the city hiding on a produce truck, during which she breaks the news to him that she’s pregnant. He is, of course, overjoyed.

Meanwhile, the 456 have sent instructions to Home Office lackey Frobisher and his people to build them their own facility. I want to see that at Home Depot. Frobisher’s wife is getting really tired of all his BS, and he says there’s nothing to worry about, which of course means there’s everything to worry about. He and the Prime Minister state the obvious: Jack Harkness doesn’t die easily, and people are going to start asking questions about the aliens’ previous escapades. Trusty new assistant Lois gets to work to hear about the bomb, and uses her new boss’s ID to quickly connect the dots between Torchwood and the big boom. Unfortunately, or perhaps for the sake of exposition, she then starts asking questions and is promptly told no one wants to hear it.

Later, Gwen tries to set up a meeting with Frobisher, but gets Lois instead, who tells her and Rhys that Frobisher is the one who ordered the assassinations. She has also managed to figure out that Jack is still alive, and researched where, plus set up a meeting. Yes, she is that crafty. Yes, this is probably your new member of Torchwood.

Ianto turns up at what remains of the Hub looking for Jack, only to see the bag of pieces formerly known as Jack loaded into a private ambulance which is also big and black. He’s smart enough to write down the license plate number, and also smart enough to slip a card to his sister in her husband’s morning racing form. The kids are smart enough to figure out that the big grey sedan outside is full of bad guys and the house is bugged, so Ianto’s sister’s husband goes on a fake tear to distract them while Ianto’s sister reads the card and finds out where to meet him. You have to hand it to the Torchwood writers: these characters are using their heads, and not just stumbling around for drama’s sake.

In order to allow Ianto’s sister to escape out of the house undetected, her husband and a bunch of the neighborhood kids go attack the car outside and scare the crap out of the thugs therein. Apparently their juvenile delinquency comes in handy for something. Ianto’s sister meets him at a local park, and he’s forced to explain to her what it is he actually does. At least she doesn’t totally flip out before he borrows her laptop and her car.

The Bag of Pieces Formerly Known As Jack Harkness gets shipped to a remote location which is of course all grey and mostly concrete because it looks cooler that way or something. Slowly and quite painfully (and incredibly gory, but what did you expect?) it re-forms itself into the man we know and love. Cue the obligatory naked Barrowman, before Agent Johnson decides if she can’t kill him, she’ll just go Han Solo on him – and fills his cell with concrete, effectively entombing him alive (shades of the end of season two, anyone?).

Gwen and Rhys sneak into the compound to break Jack out, but are quickly cornered by Agent Johnson and her big army of minions. Just when you think all is lost, the coolest thing in the world happens. Ianto breaks into the place with a forklift. A FORKLIFT. Really, how awesome is that? He literally picks up and rips out the Big Concrete Box Formerly Known As Jack Harkness (and the wall), and Gwen and Rhys jump on the forklift along with it. Everyone makes a narrow escape.

They take the Big Concrete Box to a quarry and drop it off a cliff to shatter it open, thus resurrecting Jack. Cue more naked Barrowman, in full rear view. Allow me to take a moment to appreciate that.

Oh and by the way, the 456 are coming tomorrow. Frobisher has built their Home Depot box in a room at Thames House, and all there is to do is wait.

What do you think? How scary are the 456 really going to be? How cool is it that you can beat bad guys with a forklift? Sound off below.

With the third series, comes a new added impetous as Torchwood has moved to the BBC's main channel, BBC One. Over three seasons, Torchwood has never stayed on one channel, moving from premiering on the digital-only BBC Three for the first, and BBC Two for the second. With each series has come a slight reinvention of the product. Season One began by resembling several shows, its own parent show for one, and whilst it had its moments of quality, seemed to some like a family TV show with added adult content simply for the sake of it, leading to the Torchwood team sometimes being mocked as the "Scooby Doo Gang" on internet forums and blogs.

Season Two began by bringing more of the same, but as the season evolved the show began to find more adult themes that felt meaningful, and less like adult themes being injected into a family show. With characters being killed, brought back to life, and stories given to them that had meaning, depth and sometimes, incredible power.

Season Three's move to BBC One gave the show new pressures. No longer was it to be considered a secondary show on the BBC, but given a marquee slot on the main channel. The cost of this, and certainly a worry for the fans, was that the season was being shortened to five one-hour long episodes with a concurrent story. This worried many fans worldwide, wondering how the show would fair in a mainstream spot on the most popular channel in the UK, and whether some of the character plots and themes might sink by the wayside due to their more controversial nature, and higher exposure.

Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman), Ianto Jones and Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) are on the trail of a new mysterious occurance. The children of Earth all stopping, at precisely the same moment and chanting "We are coming... We are coming...". The mysterious behaviour catches not only the eyes of Torchwood, but the world at large, including UNIT and the UK and US Governments. The mysterious chanting leads them on a mystery involving a Government conspiracy, seemingly lead by John Frobisher (Peter Capaldi from Doctor Who's episode Fires of Pompeii, and the brilliant government satire The Thick of It), organising the arrival of a mysterious alien force known only as The 456.

Jack, Ianto and Gwen ably assisted by her husband Rhys, begin to investigate and find that there is a conspiracy afoot, that could affect every child on the Earth and lead the entire planet devastated. Who are the 456? Why are they coming to Earth? Have they been here before? And ultimately, do you sacrifice the few, in order to spare the many?

Thankfully all worries about the move to BBC One have been lifted, as Torchwood has evolved and matured into five amazing hours of television. The move to one single concurrent story has been a triumph for the show, and Torchwood's new season not only integrates even tighter with the "Whoniverse" but is now its own show in its own right, beyond its parent program. This season has been easily one of the best pieces of Sci-Fi the UK has produced for years, if not one of the best UK TV dramas in several years.

With the move of show runner and creator Russell T. Davies to work in the United States, the future of Torchwood is still in the air, but after rated an impressive 5.9 million viewers over the 5 nights on average, the BBC would be mad to cancel one of its most popular shows simply because the creator is moving onto pastures new. Torchwood is back, and is better than ever.

Torchwood : Children of Earth airs at 9pm PST (8pm Central) on BBC America and BBC America HD from the 20th July for 5 nights.
It is available in the UK on BBC iPlayer until 17th July, or for purchase on DVD and BluRay in Europe now.

John Borrowman pens new "Torchwood" Comic

It seems that John Borrowman, who plays Captain Jack on the BBC hit Torchwood, will have his first original Torchwood comic strip released in the newest issue of Torchwood magazine. Borrowman wrote the new comic with his sister, and regular collaborator, Carole E. Barrowman. The comic strip is titled Captain Jack and the Selkie and will be exclusively featured in the #14 issue of the bimonthly magazine, which hits newsstands tomorrow, March 17.

The tale follows Captain Jack as he faces a deadly threat as people start disappearing one by one on a remote Scottish island. To his horror, Jack starts to suspect that he may know who, or more specifically what, is responsible.

The artwork for the comic strip is provided by Tommy Lee Edwards and Trevor Goring, whom John and Carole met last year at Comic Con 2008. Tommy Lee Edwards is the acclaimed artist behind several stunning comic projects including Marvel’s current smash hit ‘1985’, plus the acclaimed ‘Bullet Points’, DC’s ‘The Question’, and several more.

In an interview done by Carole, John explains:

…given that we’d just hooked up with two of the best artists in the comic world, as far as I was concerned, it made sense to pitch a comic . . . and then later when you and I were brainstorming on a story, I remembered you’d written something before about the myth of the selkie, and I thought it’d be a perfect plot to adapt for what, in my head, I was already calling a ‘Captain Jack Tale.’

Speaking about the project, Torchwood comic editor Martin Eden said:

I’m so excited to be working on this story – John and Carole are an absolute pleasure to work with. And Tommy Lee Edwards is one of my favorite artists. I’ve seen the thumbnails that Tommy and Trevor have worked on – and, believe me, the readers are in for a treat!

Below is a ‘first look’ at some of the fantastic artwork in the comic, and if you continue to the second page you can read the full interview with John Borrowman, conducted by his sister Carole.
