In season one of Supernatural the fantastic Nicki Aycox played Meg, a body stealing demon that tormented the Winchester boys the entire first season.  Nicki Aycox might not be returning to Supernatural next season, but the demon Meg will be.  According to TVGuide.com Meg will be played by actress Rachel Miner.

In the first season finale of the show Meg (the demon) was exorcised from Meg (the Nicki Aycox body), thus bringing an end to the characters run on the show.  But ever since Dean and Sam opened a gate to hell in the second season, Executive Producer and show creator Eric Kripke has been wondering just where Meg is, and why she hasn't continued her evil ways with the brothers.

“I’ve been wondering, what Meg’s doing out there,” Kripke told TV Guide.  “I’ve been continually asking the writers, ‘Where’s Meg?” She’s would make a really formidable adversary.”

Apparently Kripke got tired of waiting for the other writers to bring Meg back into the story and therefore did so himself.

"I got impatient and ended up writing her into my own script,” Kripke said."

I guess being the show creator and executive producer gives him a little pull for things like this. If you miss Nicki Aycox, she's a new TNT undercover police drama called Dark Blue which stars Dylan McDermott and premieres on TNT July 18.  Supernatural will premiere on Thursday, September 10 on The CW following the new series The Vampire Diaries.
