Unfortunately for Trauma fans, NBC has decided not to order any additional episodes beyond the 13 they originally ordered. Presumably, NBC will continue to air the remaining Trauma episodes until they are finished, but production will wrap after the 13th episode is completed.
This, of course, leaves a spot open on Monday nights for Chuck. NBC had previously annouced that Chuck would return as a mid-season replacement, but had only ordered 13 episodes. Now, however, the network has opted to order…
It was bound to happen sooner or later and it now seems that the sooner the better. Before long, television networks could begin showing the same number of commercials for their streaming episodes online as they currently are on television. The plan will only be in effect for the first 3 days after a show has aired for online viewing, and the amount of commercials after that date would theoretically drop down to something similar to what they show…

Today NBC, the broadcaster of the Golden Globe Awards, has annoucced that British comedian Ricky Gervais will host the awards ceremony on Sunday, January 17, 2010.
I understand that he's not universally loved, but I find Gervais to be very funny. I had the opportunity to meet him very briefly this year at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he premiered The Invention of Lying. He was super-nice and stopped to take a picture with a friend of mine. My…
NBC has given official season-length pick ups to new shows, Community and Mercy and returning show, Parks and Recreation.
“We are very pleased with the critical and audience reaction to our wonderful new comedy ‘Community,’” said NBC entertainment president Angela Bromstad. “The cast and producers are delivering a first-rate, quality show that is very promising as the newest of NBC’s first-rate Thursday-night comedies.”
About “Mercy,” Bromstad added: “This drama has found a dedicated audience and continues to build in the ratings.…

It seems that with each passing day NBC falls more and more under the control of the dark side. That is if you consider reality and non-scripted television the dark side, as I do. NBC has announced that their sophmore cop series Southland will be canceled…without airing a single episode of its second season. Confused yet?
It's true, last May NBC made the decision to give its brand new police drama a second season. The ratings were far from spectacular, and…
Heroes "Acceptance" was probably the best episode of the series in sometime. No, seriously – I mean it. It was even moving at some points. I even got into the silly Hiro-subplot of the week where the man-child time jumped in a fruitless attempt to prevent a suicidal guy from photocopying his butt and ruining his life – ultimately teaching the hapless jumper that living with his mistake and facing it head on was the answer. An epiphany, and…

If you don't know who Joel McHale is, then you're truly missing out on one of the more talented people on television today. If you've watched The Soup on E!, the show that McHale is the host of, you'd realize that while Jay Leno has the power to thrust NBC into total darkness, Joel McHale has the power, almost single-handedly to make them great again. Okay, that might be a little overly dramatic, but let's just say…
Chuck just might be one of the best little guy getting a second chance stories out there this year. When faced with possible cancelation, the cast and crew of Chuck jumped to attention and got their most devoted fans excited and spreading the word. They were successful in their campaign to bring their show back for another season, and also successful in closing a deal with Subway, who was the winner in the Save Chuck campaign that suggested fans…
Chuck left fans with an interesting proposition: which is Chuck suddenly had the skills of a super spy to match his intersect enhanced intelligence abilities? Would we still have the lovable fish-out-of-water Chuck that we have now, or would the show transition to a dark, more realistic flavor? The answer seems to be: both. Jump on through for Chuck spoilers.
NBC launched the first three episodes of their new web series CTRL today on NBC.com and Hulu.com. CTRL is based on the 2008 Sundance award winning short film "CTRL-Z" and will feature a total first season of ten episodes written and directed by Canadian film maker Rob Kirbyson.
Holy smokes….so last night's episode of The Philanthropist just reinforced my opinion that James Purefoy would have made an EXCELLENT James Bond.
Actually, last night he was more like Liam Neeson/James Bond/Indiana Jones rolled together! It was awesome. Paris was the title of the episode, and usually when you think of Paris, you think Eiffel Tower, kisses in the moonlight, funny hats, pigeons everywhere, accordions…..Ok maybe that's only what my brain pictures. Anyway! Paris took on a very dark tone when…
