Although this might be the second attempt that CBS is making at bringing Hawaii Five-O back to the small screen, this time it appears that we'll at least get to see a pilot for the remake.  CBS has just announced that they have given a pilot commitment to an updated version of the series which will be headed up by Peter Lenkov, the Executive Producer for CSI:NY, and pop culture, mythology heavy scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

Another sitcom is coming to FOX, but this one might actually be good. Shows like ‘Til Death have been cringeworthy at moments, and FOX has had quite the lack of good sitcoms, cancelling them right and left. I love reading scripts.  This may have something to do with the fact that I've never really read a script until I sat down to read the FlashForward pilot.  I'm sure that people who read 50 scripts a day are all "ugh, why is this girl so excited about this stuff?", but I just love it.  I love it because I still find the process from receiving the script to seeing the final version on my television so ridiculously…

Warehouse 13, a new show set to premiere on the Sci Fi Channel in July, seems to be a mish-mash of various other shows, such as:

(1) The X-Files, which I loved. You’ve got the two partners here (male and female). The male is slightly more eccentric and a rule-breaker. He’s also the kind of guy who follows hunches, whereas the female partner is much more by-the-book. The difference between X-Files and Warehouse 13? There’s no aliens. Yet.

I cannot stop watching Glee, the new show by the creator of Nip/Tuck (Ryan Murphy).  It's simply infectious.  The show is essentially about the popularity hierarchy of high school, but with a rocking soundtrack.

Will Schuester (played by Broadway veteran Matthew Morrison) is a Spanish teacher who takes over the Glee club from a disgraced and fired teacher.  His wife, Terri (played by the surprisingly hilarious Jessalyn Gilsig) is a spoiled, materialistic, craft-addicted part-time saleslady.

I got the opportunity this week to screen the pilot episode for ABC's newest comedy-drama, Cupid, starring Bobby Canavale, Sarah Paulson, Rick Gomez, and Camile Guaty.  Since then I've been struggling with exactly how to review this new show.  To summarize my feelings of the pilot I'd have to say that this show is cliched, predictable, and too smothered in love and romance for any guy to like.  But if I were to continue, I'd also have to say…

Heroes fans can rest easy, as it seems a sure thing that the series will be returning for its fourth season this coming fall.  Although there hasn't been an official renewal yet, NBC entertainment president Angela Bromstad was asked by Hollywood Reporter if the series should be considered "on the bubble" for a renewal, to which she answered, "no".  She continued, adding that the network plans to order 18 to 20 episodes of the show for next season.

Battlestar Galactica fans who were upset at the prospect of waiting until 2010 to see the new prequel series Caprica can breathe a sigh of relief.  Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced today that the pilot episode of Caprica will be going straight to DVD in an unrated and uncut version on April 21, 2009.  The DVD will also feature deleted scenes, commentary by director Jeffrey Reiner and executive producers Ronald D.
