Earlier this week The CW released their fall premiere dates and schedule for the upcoming 2009 season.  There was only one small surprise where the net swapped timeslots for One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl, giving One Tree Hill the earlier, 8/7 central timeslot.  The CW will kick off its fall season earlier than any of the other nets, beginning on Tuesday September 8 with a very retro feeling 90210 at 8/7 central and followed by the premiere of Melrose Place at 9/8 central.  However, rounding out their fall premieres, Smallville doesn't get started until Friday, September 25, which really sucks some major meteorite fragments.  The rest of The CW's fall schedule for 2009 is listed below.  And don't forget to checkout the other network schedule links at the bottom of this post.

The CW 2009 Fall Premiere Dates

Fox will get a jump on most of the other major networks this season, but not nearly the jump it usually needs.  In past years Fox's airing of the Major League Baseball playoffs has forced the network to jump the gun, so to speak, and premiere most of its show's before the baseball playoffs, however due to a time-sharing deal with TBS this year, there will be less baseball on FOX to schedule around.  The result is that FOX will kick off its fall season on September 12 with the premieres of Cops and America's Most Wanted followed on the 16 with So You Think You Can Dance and the premiere of Glee.  The following two nights will see the return of Fringe, and then Dollhouse on September 17 and 18, respectively.  Take a look at the full schedule below and don't forget to check out the other network's fall premiere schedules in the links at the bottom of the post.

FOX 2009 Fall Premiere Dates

If you're at all like me, you dread the holiday season for one reason, and one reason only...bad television. Nothing sucks more after a long day of shopping at the mall, and wresting for parking places, than coming home, curling up on your couch, and being forced to watch Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer. Granted, there are some classics I look forward to, but I'd take a Fringe or Lost holiday special over them all any day of the week (and holiday specials almost always suck!).

So, naturally I figured it was time to start talking about the quickly approaching midseason or winter premiere dates of our favoriate shows. A few of the shows just left us a day or two ago, while others have been missing for some time. So take a look at the list, block out some time on your blackberry or iphone, and don't forget to set your DVRs. January is going to be FANTASTIC!
