I am not a big fan of the various Stargate TV shows. I liked the movie – by which I mean the Kurt Russel/James Spader one – but never really dug the television versions. I've noticed something about CW shows that the new Melrose Place pilot only seems to confirm: the pilot episodes of CW shows are filled – positively FILLED – with (current) pop songs.  In the first three minutes of the episode alone you'll listen to "Let it Rock" and "Poker Face".  In the first three minutes.  I noticed this in the pilot for The Beautiful Life and I remember it from the 90210 pilot in 2008.

NBC launched the first three episodes of their new web series CTRL today on NBC.com and Hulu.com. CTRL is based on the 2008 Sundance award winning short film "CTRL-Z" and will feature a total first season of ten episodes written and directed by Canadian film maker Rob Kirbyson.
