Earlier today, the teams for the 19th season of The Amazing Race were announced (read more here).
A few familiar and known faces will be rounding out the cast for the upcoming season. Two former Survivor winners will be competing this season: Ethan Zohn (Survivor: Africa) and Jenna Morasca (Survivor: The Amazon). Former NFL player Marcus Pollard will be paired with his wife. Andy and Tommy are two former Olympic snowboarders and the youngest person to ever sail around the world alone will also be appearing.
The teams will visit Indonesia, Malawi, Belgium and Denmark, and will, in total, travel through four continents and 20 cities and cover nearly 40,000 miles.
A brand new penalty will be introduced in the upcoming season of The Amazing Race. Called the "Hazard", it will have an impact on one team's future on the Race right from the starting line. The Race officially begins in Southern California, while the teams search for clues to their first destination of Taipei, Taiwan. The first ever Double Elimination will also be seen this season.
