Adult Swim is pretty much the greatest network ever. I know, I know, many would argue towards AMC and HBO, but we are speaking about different leagues. Apples and oranges, my friends. Adult Swim is more for the twisted mind who likes late night TV and making bad choices. That is why I love it so much. One of the shows that helped make it what it was is The Boondocks. A show focusing on the wacky misadventures of one urban family in a mainly suburban world. Well, we got some good and bad news for fans of this show.
First, the good news. The Boondocks is coming back on TV April 21st for its fourth season. This means more time with Grandad, Huey, and Riley. This also means there will be more attempts by “the man” to hold them all down. That is the good news. Now on to the bad news.
This will be the final season of The Boondocks. Ugh. Having been a fan of this show’s attitude and animations style since it first premiered, this is heavy news. But also it tells us that this fourth season is going to be off-the-chain. Just think about it. The show always feels like it is just holding back a little. As if it knows that if it does anything too extreme, it could mean the axe. But now, knowing it is their final season, you know they are gonna pull some stuff that will have people talking. Heck, this could be the season that Huey finally leads a revolution,
The Boondocks airs at Mondays at 10:30 p.m on Adult Swim. Check your local providers for more details.
