The Carrie Diaries Preview: Which Way Do I Go?
Carrie Bradshaw is at a major crossroads in her life on The Carrie Diaries. After the recent death of her mother, the teenager has pulled away from her father and little sister, eager to get out of a home filled with grief and unresolved regrets. An opportunity comes in the form of an internship at a law office in the city, an experience that opens the sheltered Connecticut girl up to a world of fashion, romance, and glamour.
Once she meets a style editor from Interview magazine, she gets thrown into events that she had only previously seen in the pages of her fashion mags. With the exposure to exciting parties, good-looking boys, and luxurious clothes, Carrie's living her dream even before getting her high school diploma, but will this prove to all be too much? The aspiring fashionista still has a couple of years of school remaining and will have to bear down in order to keep her decent grades and core group of friends, but how much motivation will she have to do that? She already has the dream job in her dream city and enough connections to give her a good foundation in the fashion industry, so high school will likely start to seem like an even more unnecessary evil than it already does.
The Carrie Diaries stars AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie, Austin Butler as Carrie's love interest Sebastian, Chloe Bridges as aspiring model Donna LaDonna, Ellen Wong as Carrie's best friend Jill (aka Mouse), and Freema Agyeman as Carrie's mentor Larissa. Currently scheduled to guest star are Richard Kohnke, Scott Cohen, and Kyle Harris.
