There is no denying that Get Lucky by Daft Punk has sort of became the Summer jam of 2013 (sorry kids, Blurred Lines came out too late in the season), and there is no denying that The Colbert Report has never been more popular, so it makes sense to us these two (very different) powerhouses are pairing up. While it might not make sense to the rest of the world, it doesn’t need to. It is happening anyway.
Oh and it is happening next week, so says Uproxx. Which leads me to wonder. Just what will these three have to talk about? Will they talk at all? How will Daft Punk communicate within their helmets on(which they NEVER remove)? Will Colbert appreciate these two, or will he tear them apart, slowly, as he is oft to do with those he doesn’t like?
Or maybe, in the craziest plot twist ever, they could take off their helmets and we realize Daft Punk ARE Stephen Colbert and John Stewart. I mean, come on, that would blow the mind of every person on this Earth, all at once. Okay, so it is safe to say we have no idea what is happening. Two things we do know, Colbert is a super nerd, and Daft Punk and him may have something awesome up their sleeve for just what unfolds when they do meet up on the Colbert Report.
Or we could be hyping this up for no reason and it will just be a performance. Either way, Get Lucky is an amazing song, so you KNOW we will be tuning in? How about you? You as intrigued as us by this news?
