Fringe Alum to Guest on The Good Wife

John Noble as Walter BishopFringe alumni John Noble is the first of the crew to jump right back into work with a guest spot on The Good Wife, and here’s the clincher: it involves time travel.  Sort of.

Noble was pretty much the fan favorite amongst Fringe fans for his incomparable characterization of Dr. Walter Bishop, a mad scientist of sorts with a penchant for unexpected and hilarious one-liners such as “It warms your ass.”  Dr Bishop was last seen strolling into the future to save mankind in the Fringe series finale.

Coincidentally, his role on The Good wife will be in flashbacks. “He comes on as a man that I have flashbacks [about], because he’s a client that I used to take care of all the time,” star Julianna Margulies told TV Guide Canada. “He’s a very interesting character who is sort of a brilliant techie guy that constantly sues people.” Margulies got a taste of what Fringe fans have known for a long time: whenever Professor Noble is on set the game is elevated a few notches. “It was remarkable to work with him and just a pleasure to have on set. On the page, I thought, ‘Is this going to make sense?’ and he filled it with such incredible talent. I can’t even tell you. I looked at him and I went, ‘I didn’t even know that was the character.’ I’m so blown away.”
