Sexy New Ad for The Good Wife’s Third Season Shows a Little Skin

This ain’t your daddy’s legal drama, folks.

If you thought that The Good Wife couldn’t get any steamier than it did last season, you’d be sadly mistaken, as a recently released ad for the show’s third season shows Julianna Margulies in a very, um, carnal state. Though opinions may differ, I think it’s less distasteful/crass and more sensual/playful, a possible hint at the tone of Alicia’s love life in the upcoming season. Plus, it’s always a bonus when any show recognizes that women can indeed be sexy without having to show everything, let alone women over 40.

The critically acclaimed CBS legal drama, which received numerous Emmy nominations last month, has been known to push the envelope with regards to sexuality, including an oral sex scene in a bathroom featuring Alicia Florrick (Margulies) and husband Peter (Chris Noth) last season. If this ad is any indication, it looks like The Good Wife season three will be just as provocative, sophisticated, and delicious as ever.

The Good Wife premieres its third season on Sunday, September 25 at 9:00 following the season premiere of The Amazing Race.

What do you think about the ad? Do you think it’s too sexy or is it just enough to whet your appetite for a new season? How do you think The Good Wife will do in its new timeslot?
