In this week's episode of The Good Wife, Alicia was forced to work with Colin Sweeney once again. When a whistle-blower for a class action involving faulty planes killed himself, Alicia needed Sweeney to provide evidence about the plane company. But in exchange for his testimony, he wanted his freedom from prison. Peter and Carey demanded that he testify against a dangerous criminal in order to get his sentence reduced. Sweeney got the information needed and then helped Alicia's case get settled before heading off to enjoy his life outside of prison.
Alicia also asked Grace's tutor, Jennifer, to stop her from involving Grace in her videos, thinking their relationship was unprofessional. But Grace was upset, telling her mother she had no other friends. Eli, meanwhile, is working on advancing Peter's political career, while Lockhart/Gardner has hired a new first year associate named Caitlin.
In the October 30 episode of The Good Wife, Parker Posey makes a guest appearance as Vanessa Gold, Eli's ex-wife. She approaches Eli to vet her for a possible political campaign and Eli is forced to ask Kalina to investigate his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Alicia must work with Lockhart/Gardner's newest first year associate, Caitlin D’arcy (played by recurring guest star Anna Gold) to help defend a Taiwanese national, which leaves the ladies trying to figure out diplomatic loopholes.
