James Corden Gets Lost in a Stairwell on the Late Late Show

James Corden has absolutely been killing it on The Late Late Show recently.  He made a gigantic splash when he and Adele did a little rap duo in the car which went viral last week.  And now he’s just having loads of fun with his guests.   Last night Corden was giddy like a school boy when Downton Abbey star Lily James stopped by to be a guest.  Corden was even more ecstatic when James informed him that yesterday was National Hug Day.  James invites Corden to give her a hug in her dressing room.

While Corden admits that he doesn’t get the chance to give these hugs because he’s on stage, he decides to skip protocol and rush off to embrace Lily.   However what proceeds is Corden endlessly walking up a flight of stairs.  Make that a few flights.

Corden gets lost and is essentially doing his monologue from the stairwell.  He “runs into” Rashida Jones on the prompter.  He announces Sean Hayes who is having a party.  Corden has no clue what’s going on and eventually the “bit” gets a little overdrawn.   But it’s kind of funny when he ends up trying to drive a forklift.
