The Lying Game 2.01 Sneak Peek: Sutton Plots with Rebecca
During its first season finale, The Lying Game revealed that the search for the twins' birth mother has been over for quite some time, at least for Sutton. The woman who they had been chasing had been in town for quite some time and had been playing the seemingly unplayable, as Rebecca's entire relationship with Alec was all a lie, a way for her to achieve her ultimate goal and nothing else. Putting her together with Sutton, already quite the master manipulator, might spell trouble for the remnants of the Mercer family, but when will they inform Emma of what's going on?
Not yet, according to the sneak peek from the upcoming second season premiere. Rather than filling her in on Rebecca's goal to form the perfect family with Ted, Sutton is tasked with doing something far more difficult - being nice to her sister, who's still freaked out by Alec and desperate for answers about him, their birth mother, and Ted. Sutton will have to make her next move a little more deliberate and delicate, as Emma's current vulnerability might not make her easy to coerce into working together; it could make her more wary of being around her sister and less willing to open up, especially considering what happened with Ethan and how Sutton has treated her upon her return.
Elsewhere on The Lying Game, Mads meets a mysterious new guy around town who's not quite what he seems to be.
