Dwight Schrute Spin-Off The Farm to Air as Modified Office Episode
Rainn Wilson fans were bummed when NBC decided not to pick up his Dwight Schrute Office spin-off, The Farm this year. I have to imagine it was a good call however, as it didn't sound like a terribly good premise, but I would still be curious to see how it would go.
Well, now we'll get that chance it turns out. Office boss Greg Daniels has revealed that the show will indeed see the light of day. The pilot is being re-formatted to fit into an episode this year before the show wraps. They're going back to shoot additional footage and change a few things so that it feels less like a pilot and more like an episode of the show.
It's somewhat good news for the character of Dwight, though not the actor that plays him. What it does mean is that Dwight will likely get a much more conclusive ending rather than one that sets him up for a new show. Could it finally mean a happy reunion with Angela? It's possible, Daniels hints.
Even if the show lost its way for a few seasons, I'm looking forward to seeing how it all shakes down in the end.

I really hope they include the original episode on the DVD, it would be interesting to see how it could have turned out
