Steve Carell's departure from The Office will be taking place over the next two episodes. On the April 21 episode, Michael Scott will be attending his last Dundie Awards. To help make the transition easier between the current and future Dundler Mifflin boss, Michael asks Deangelo (guest star Will Ferrell) to host the Dundie Awards. Michael promises to show Deangeleo all the ropes in how to host the show.
In addition to this last rite, Erin will realize that she isn't too fond of her boyfriend, Gabe, and will struggle in their relationship.
While the April 21 episode of The Office will be 30 minutes long, Steve Carell's final episode - taking place next week on April 28 - will be 50 minutes long and will air from 9:00 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. ET. Parks and Recreation will air from 9:50 to 10:30 p.m. and is ten extra minutes long, while 30 Rock will follow from 10:30 to 11:00 p.m. for its normal 30 minutes.
You can also expect to see Will Ferrell and Amy Ryan make guest appearances in Carell's final episode of The Office next week.
Below are four sneak peeks from the upcoming April 21 episode of The Office. In the first clip, Michael takes a cheap shot at Ricky's Gervais' hosting of the recent Golden Globes, which is quite amusing.
