For years, fans of The Office were forced to deal with the “will they/won’t they” tension between Pam and Jim. Pam was engaged to Roy, Jim dated Karen, and things just never seemed like they were going to work out for our favorite Office couple. And then everything just fell into place. They finally got together, and it wasn’t long before they were engaged. In just a week, the much anticipated wedding of Pamela Beesly to James Halpert will finally take place. And if you’re interested, you can send your well wishes their way.
A website has been created (by the couple, of course) to celebrate their big day. You can visit it by going to: http://www.halpertbeesly.com/
The site features a number of neat little features, and in my opinion it’s a really nice little touch for the fans of the show. NBC always seems ahead of the game when it comes to increasing the reach of their shows beyond our TV sets. Head on over to the site and browse around. It’s loaded with quirky Pam and Jim style humor, including the About Us section, which reads:
“I would hope that if you're looking at our wedding blog, you already know us, so an explanation of who we are and what we do seems kind of pointless, but in case you accidentally stumbled on this site: He's a paper salesman. She's a paper salesman. Together, we're easily the seventh most interesting couple in Northeastern Pennsylvania paper sales.”
Unfortunately, the Registry is still labled as “Coming Soon,” but with little over a week to go until the wedding, I’m sure they’ll be wanting to get that up soon. As some one who was just married last month, I can vouch for the fact that gifts are very important to a wedding.
So what’s your opinion on the site? Are you ready for the big wedding?
Oh, and my favorite part of the site is without a doubt the guestbook, so make sure you check that out.
“Pam, you are like a daughter to me, and Jim is like a son. I'm so proud that my son and daughter are to be wed! Tis a thing of beauty! Glory be!!!”
