Atlanta

The "answered three months ago" question of the week in the Real Housewives of Atlanta world isn't who's lying in the Dwight vs. NeNe/Sheree feud, but actually where in the world was Lisa Wu Hartwell? Even though Hartwell's departure is relatively old news, viewers have been looking for answers as to why Lisa was no where to be found in the season premiere Monday night. Back in July, we reported Black Voices' Jawn Murray's reveal of Hartwell's departure of the show, but had two conflicting reports saying as to why she was actually leaving. Report #1 declared that with Hartwell's new residence being a bit far from the other cast members, they producers amicably decided to part ways due to that fact. Report #2 suggested that when the producers gave Hartwell pointers of where her 'character' should go this season, she gave them the deuces and bounced.

Well, now we know the truth. It was Report #2.

Vibe Magazine talked with Lisa W Hartwell about her departure and this is what she had to say:

Our ratingswe were killing everybody so it's like we gotta stay on top so they had an idea of where they want their characters to go and they forget that we're not characters in a show we're real people living our lives. And sometimes people want to turn you into a character of your former self and I'm just not willing to perform or create something that isn't there... It's like all Black people don't act this way and it's unfortunate that we feed into those stereotypes sometimes. I understand you don't want to watch paint dry. I get it. But it's a fine line between performing and acting a'fool... They want to keep those ratings high so they're like this is what's going on this season and I'm like wait a minute, this is supposed to be reality television and some things I'm not willing to compromise.

We hear you loud and clear, Lisa! You can retract your claws now.

So there you go. Thanks Vibe Magazine, who has the entire interview, for getting to bottom of the 'mystery'. Now can we get back to who is lying in the Dwight vs. NeNe debacle? Please and thank you.

New York

RHONY's Ramona Singer became Ramona Slugger last week as our favorite "Turtle Time" creator allegedly punched a producer while filming in her apartment last week.

US Weekly broke the story yesterday, which reported that during filming in her NY apartment, Ramona got fed up and, as one source puts it, "literally lost her mind."

Cast members who witnessed the lapse in judgment were Alex McCord and Sonja Morgan. No news on if the producer was with Bravo or the production company behind the New York branch of the Real Housewives franchise.

Radar Online reported today that a source close to production says, "the story has spun out of control" and that everything is peachy during the filming of RHONY's fourth season, which is a month in production.

Who should we believe in this fiasco? Just when I thought the claws and weave pulling was regulated to Atlanta and New Jersey...
