For much of its early time here on Earth, The Real Housewives of Atlanta was all about Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes, a highly combustile dynamic duo that brought the energy and campiness that a reality show needs to survive. They were loud, they were proud, and they didn't give a you-know-what about what people thought of their unusual friendship. However, if you get two people with big personalities together and shove a camera in their face, you're bound to get even more outrageous results and both Kim and NeNe delivered in spades. The most recent times on the show have pitted the two against one another in sort of a Clash of the (Reality) Titans, including tonight's potentially explosive reunion.
No, it's not the post-season reunion quite yet; it's the first time that Kim and NeNe have been in the same space since Cynthia's wedding, so tensions are understandably sky high going into things. (In case you forgot, they fell out on the bus ride to Miami and haven't been remotely the same since.) The event that brings the two together is Cynthia's party to celebrate the opening of The Bailey Agency, which is a little strange to me. If your good girlfriend has a major problem with someone, why invite the two to something this important when you know either could make a scene? Ordinarily, I'd feel bad for someone that gets a night ruined over other people's foolishness, but Cynthia might as well save the tears because if something goes down, it's all on her.
You can check out Cynthia on a mission to bring "New York class" to The Real Housewives of Atlanta (and Kandi confronting Marlo) right here. (There's a really funny bit of editing involving a painting that you have to see to believe.)
Kim is also dealing with moving her expanding family into a new house after having been in a townhouse for a while. As to be expected, things don't go that well, with the move being more than a little disorganized and all over the place, but it looks like Kim's fairly happy with the elaborate results. (Kroy, though, is a little more skeptical.) In the second video below, you can get a sense of the new Casa Zolciak thanks to a tour from her interior decorator Kenya. How do you think the house looks?
Get a look at the type of overcrowding that they were dealing with right here and you can tell that any upgrade in space would've been much welcomed.
In non-Kim/NeNe news from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra's friendship with Sheree may be heading for a crash landing, thanks to the stall tactic Bob employed in court last week, Peter's issues with Mal bubble over on Cynthia's big day, and Kandi enters the Reality Royal Rumble with Kim, possibly over Big Poppa, of all things.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs tonight at 9:00 on Bravo. To refresh yourself on the beginning of the end of Phaedra's friendship with Sheree, the introduction of Marlo and Charles, and the birth of the latest Real Housewives spawn, check out what Mark had to say about the two episodes we got last week.
I can't stand when carefree parents let their children live like princesses and they hand their kid everything the kid could possibly want and when they remarry or in Kim's case simply start dating a guy, move him in, and let him start playing daddy. Kim has been quite lenient with her children and now that there's a Kroy and Kroy Jr. Kim wants things to change and magically Brielle is supposed to be this responsible, and self sufficiant 14 year old. Kim was vain and self centered on previous seasons and now that Brielle is "a chip off the old block" Kim wonders why Brielle only cares about clothes and her hair.
Totally agree, Beyoncca! Not only that, but she kept going on about how stressful it was for her with the move, new baby, etc., but she never once gave a thought to how it was affecting ANY of her kids. It was almost like she was even complaining when the baby cried!! She never seemed to think twice how her instant new family is affecting her old one. Oh, wait, maybe she did worry about the dog for about 3 seconds.
