When Marlo Hampton accepted NeNe's invitation to come to Africa with the rest of the girls, you had to wonder, well, why. Marlo had been a sideline player for a good majority of this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, so it's possible she wanted to parlay her association with the ATL into a free trip to the motherland. It could have been a move to get more involved in the drama of the season and grab some headlines that have alluded her for most of season four.
For my money, Marlo made it to Africa to act as NeNe's goon, solidifying Team Talls and thereby sticking it to Kandi, Phaedra, and Sheree. In tonight's episode, you can see the stank attitude emanating off of Marlo, as her high maintenance bourgie-ness is rather off-putting, to say the least. Whether dishing out unwarranted etiquette lessons, making someone carry her pile of Birkin bags, or trying to strong-arm her way into the best room, Marlo's brand of brand name dropping and oblivious opulence seems specifically designed to mess with the other wives.
But Marlo isn't the only source of strife on the trip to Africa, as Sheree hosts a party that not everyone is invited to and Kandi makes a racial comment about Kim that the latter finds out about on the phone. I'm not surprised that Team Smalls is "taking a stand" against Team Talls and even though it comes off as rather juvenile, having two small, peaceful get-togethers is better than one giant uncomfortable yell-a-thon. (A look at the fifth video below shows that Marlo isn't having it, to the point where she refers to Sheree's friends with a gay slur.) I'm curious, though, why someone so deadset on remaining neutral like Kandi would make a comment like that, especially about someone not there to defend themselves. Both Kandi and Kim have mostly laid low during season four of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but it looks like it's their turn in the center of the ring.

I agree and I think it's interesting Kim pretty much was outed last season taking advantage of Khandi for a song. Not to mention the comments she made to Sweetie and what was said during the reunion show. Yet Khandi makes some off comment about Kim and a orphanage and that's racial???
Marlo fits right in with the hood rat Sheree. Two womentoo lazy to work and make a secure living for themselves, just faking through life, Sheree's kids need her to spend half the money she spends on cars and handbags just to give them a home and a proper bed to sleep in. Marlo is just step away from being back in jail with all her lady like e. Cynthia needs to grow up and realize some things you keep to yourself, she just could have said Sheree invited her.
Can RHOA put subtitles under what NeNe is 'saying'? Half of the time, I can't understand her ghetto speak. Then again, the better solution would be to get the big bully off of the show – along with the new classless wonder, Marlo.
