The Secret Circle has been on hiatus for weeks now, but fans won't have to wait much longer before the show returns with all new episodes. A full season has already been ordered, so we'll be getting 13 more episodes of the show.
When The Secret Circle returns on January 5, it looks like the show is about to go very dark. Here's what we know: Cassie will uncover a secret about herself that she wants to keep from the rest of the Circle. But she has to tell someone, so she trusts Adam with the truth, hoping he won't tell the others, especially Diana. Meanwhile, Diana's grandmother Kate (guest star Stefanie Kramer) comes to town. Is it just me or does Ms. Kramer not look anywhere close to the grandmother age bracket? Diana is very happy about her grandmother's visit, but Charles isn't happy that his mother is in town. Especially when Kate Meade takes an interest in Cassie.
Friday Night Light's Grey Damon appears as a stranger named Lee, who is recruited by Faye to help her with a spell. But will this spell change the Circle's balance of power forever?

We'll actually get 13 more episodes, since the show left off with 9 and it has a full season of 22 episodes. 9 + 13 = 22. :)
