Fox Wants You to Write a Simpsons Couch Cag

Far and away the most repeated joke in TV history has to be that of the Simpsons couch gag. For well over twenty years, the writers of the show have figured out a funny way for The Simpsons to reach their couch, with some becoming epic pieces of animation, like the one guest directed by Banksy.

But now you can join the ranks of Simpsons joke writers by making a couch gag of your very own. It’s a little odd no one ever thought of this sooner, but now The Simpsons is requesting its fans to write a couch gag they’d like to see on the show.

You have to make it under 100 words, and you can submit it here. What does a hundred words look like? Well, it’s about as long as the first two paragraphs of this post, so not a lot of time to get your ideas across.

Think you got what it takes? An Overmind reader winning would be pretty damn cool.
