The CW has released promo photos for the upcoming May 5 new episode of The Vampire Diaries. This is the date that the sacrificial ritual begins. The full moon means that Elena must prepare for Klaus' plans. It also means that Tyler (who returns in the April 28 episode) is facing his second transformation into a werewolf.
Everything spins out of control, despite everyone's attempt to control the situation. It also looks like Uncle/Daddy John (played by David Anders) will also be involved as the Salvatores and the kids attempt to outsmart Klaus.
In this episode, Damon also "admits the truth to Stefan (Paul Wesley) about a terrible new development they must face". I'm not sure what that could be. Could it be the result of some of his choices in keeping Elena safe?
