Nice recap. I'm just wondering (having read most of the novels) exactly how bad Damon really is…. The novels made a point to make you think that Damon was the devil incarnate in the beginning – and then later certain facts surface and we discover that there are other dark forces at work and that Damon is NOT responsible for most of the terrible deeds.

I don't understand how he could kill Lexi (I'm hoping there's a lot more to the story here and that we'll discover that Damon knows something his brother doesn't), and I'm wondering about the boy he killed in the alley – my first thought when I saw the 'glamorous' girl and this guy making out in the alley was…it looks like something another vamp would do (i.e. the boy was a vampire taking the girl out in the alley way to have a bite). Damon attacks him…but, did he really kill the kid or badly wound another vampire?

The deaths of the kids in the forest – when Vickie survived – do we know for sure that Damon was the one who fed on all those kids?

If Damon is truly responsible for all the deaths and mayhem we've seen so far, then the producers of the TV series aren't just taking artistic license with L.J. Smith's storyline – they're writing an ENTIRELY different character – one that is one-dimensionally evil with no regard for life whatsoever.

Doesn't make sense……Damon is being a vampiric jerk (he's got major anger and loneliness issues), but he's supposed to have some deep-seated decency as well.

I want Damon spiked out in the midday sun, melting and burning a slow, excrutiating death. His little "You missed" is what put me right over the edge.

I am concerned that because Damon seemed to tweak Jeremy a little too much, that Elena is going to owe Damon even more.

I thought the place Bonnie woke up in was the remains of the old Salvatore house- isn't that where Stephan took Elena when he told her the whole story of what and who he is?
