We've seen several Stefan and Damon flashbacks, as well as a Katherine-featured flashback, on The Vampire Diaries. But now the show is going back further than it has been to tell the story of the Originals.
The November 3 episode, entitled "Ordinary People", focuses on Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah's Original vampire family. Alaric will be making some sort of surprising discovery in this week's episode, and the November 3 episode will see Elena and Bonnie investigating this mysterious new discovery. Elena and Rebekah will come head-to-head in what's being dubbed a "mean-girl power struggle". Rebekah will use this as an opportunity to tell some of her family's secrets. Cue the flashbacks to ....well....very, very long ago. Meanwhile, Damon continues to try and get through to Stefan and comes up with a crazy new approach to doing so.
