I think I should begin this post with a warning. We know that the Klaus ritual business will be dealt with in the May 5 episode. So if you view promo photos for the May 12 season 2 finale of The Vampire Diaries below, then you're going to be spoiled as to who survives the ritual episode. Also, I should also warn you that just because people don't appear in the photos below, doesn't mean they die. Although I wouldn't want to speculate one way or the other, I can simply say that, from experience, not every character shows up in promo photos.
All of those warnings aside, The CW has released promo photos for the May 12 season finale of The Vampire Diaries. An episode of Gone with the Wind will be screened in the Mystic Falls town square. This historical movie will have Damon comparing Katherine in 1964 to Elena in the present time.
Sheriff Forbes decides to make her move and apparently "makes a deadly mistake while trying to keep everyone safe". The CW is quick to warn that there will be consequences of the ritual and we should expect the season to "play out to a horrifying conclusion".
Very ominous, right?
