A new episode of The Vampire Diaries will be airing this week and I think we're all anxious to see some of the cliffhangers from the season 3 premiere resolved.  What will happen to Caroline, who has been kidnapped by Mrs. Lockwood?  Will Jeremy manage to convince Matt that he really is seeing Vicki's ghost?  Will Stefan hang on to some semblance of his humanity after Elena's plea over the phone?  Will Elena be able to track Stefan down?

In episode 3.02 of The Vampire Diaries, Elena will have gotten another lead on Stefan's whereabouts.  A sneak peek we posted previously (watch it here) showed that Damon believes Stefan is a lost cause, but Elena refuses to give up.  She asks Alaric to help her track down a werewolf in the Smokey Mountains, hoping to find Stefan. We know from the promo that Alaric, Elena and Damon are forced to face the werewolf and we're thinking they won't come away completely unscathed.

We'll also see where Mrs. Lockwood is holding Caroline and we'll see her make a call to a mysterious man named "Bill" to tell him she's gotten herself involved in a bit of a vampire situation.
