Adam Levine is causing a bit of a stir for preemptively predicting who is going to take home The Voice crown. It’s not unusual for judges on shows like this to give their opinions, but Levin has upset a few fans of all those he did NOT pick.
So, who is it going to be? That would be country singer Danielle Bradbury.
“The crazy thing about your voice is it’s just so unbelievably perfect and powerful. It’s one of the better voices I think I’ve ever heard live. … And I’m just gonna go ahead and say, I think Danielle’s [the] winner of this thing.”
And as those who are following the show will know, Danielle is not Adam’s singer, she belongs to Blake who has won the last two seasons of The Voice with his picks.
“Usher, it kills me to have to say that. I don’t wanna say it’s Blake,” Adam said. Blake does have the best ear for talent, it would seem.
Of course, this is far from a done deal. Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers are still in the running and as always, even if they don’t win, they’re still a lot better off than they were when they started, and very may well have a future in music regardless.
The Voice has been dropping in popularity as of late, along with other singing-based competition shows, and we have to wonder how much longer America will stay interested in the format. It seems the era of the talent show may finally be starting to wane on American TV, and I’m just a little bit worried about what comes next.
