The Voice - Adam Levine Slams The Roxy, They Name Room After Him
Adam Levine had a small diva moment on The Voice recalling the days when The Roxy denied Maroon 5 a dressing room. The moment came after contestant Cassadee Pope did a cover of Michelle Branch's "Are You Happy know", causing Levine to reminisce about opening for Branch at The Roxy. "We used to open for Michelle Branch. I remember we opened for her at the Roxy, and they didn't even give us a dressing home. I hate the Roxy. I'll never play there again."
Levine was rebuffed by Pope who said she loved the Roxy. Coach Levine replied with "They screwed us over, and now they're paying for it."
Apparently someone at The Roxy was watching The Voice and the legendary club was quick to react with a social media based Mea Culpa. First they Instagramed and Tweeted this pic of their Marquee, announcing "Adam Levine, Your Dressing Room is Ready".
Then, sensing the need for more penance, the famous LA club, that has been the sought after venue for practically every struggling act in Los Angeles, announced in a separate tweet that they have named their dressing room after the Maroon 5 Singer and The Voice coach.
"We have official named our dressing room after @AdamLevine ;)" the tweet read and included a link to the marquee snap.
So with Levine's snipe being viewed as a bit on the diva side by fans of The Voice, and The Roxy falling all over themselves to make amends with the pop idol, can a kiss and make up appearance of Maroon 5 at The Roxy be far behind? Could you generate better PR for such a gig on purpose?
