Everyone reading this post needs to stop and go watch the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead now so I can stop dancing around spoilers. But for the time being, I’m going to avoid them completely in this post, so you can read on and figure out when the show’s coming back without fear of having the most recent episode spoiled.
AMC has announced that The Walking Dead will return February 9th, a little more than two months from today. This continues the tradition of splitting the show essentially into two eight episode halves every year, and with the great, it’s more or less like The Walking Dead is on for half the year, which is good news for AMC. Bad news is that when The Walking Dead was off, Breaking Bad was usually on, and now AMC really only has Mad Men as a “staple” show that will get people to tune in.
That said, they’re premiering a number of new original series over the course of the next year, and perhaps one will find its mark the way Low Winter Sun and The Killing did not in recent years.
Can you wait until February for The Walking Dead to return? What predictions do you have for when the show comes back? Who is grouped up with who in the aftermath of the finale?
