The Walking Dead 3.11 Promo Pics – Who Do They See?

Two new promo pics have popped up from the next episode of The Walking Dead and they are perhaps more revealing in what they don’t say.  They show elements of Rick’s group in a state of high vigilance after The Governor’s assault, but does The Governor even intend to launch another attack?  Every indication is that The Governor perpetrated an authentic act of terrorism with his ‘assault’, his design was not to finish Rick’s people off but to inject fear within the walls of The Prison.  He wants them huddling behind makeshift barriers, and standing with guns at the ready and fingers on the triggers

TWD_GP_311_0921_0286The images also seem to portray a point of interest outside of frame, perhaps someone approaching.  As we’ve seen in the promos Andrea does return to her old group at The Prison, and given her new role as co-leader or potential leader of Woodbury her visit will be to negotiate a peace between the camps.  Poor poor Andrea, she is such a pawn.

The Governor is a master skull mechanic, and he intends to finish his grudge with Rick and company at a level of trust, when the group has given themselves up to him at some level, no matter how rudimentary, so that he can experience the twisted delight of snatching the hope of a peaceful end away with some finale act of savagery.  I tend to believe the man who might know him best, Merle:
