A few years ago Jerry Bruckheimer produced a series on FOX called "Justice". I really, really liked that show. It was about a group of lawyers and at the end of every episode they showed what really happened with the crime or the accident. I was sad when Justice was canceled. Bruckheimer's new series for ABC, "The Whole Truth", will be airing this fall on Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. and although it's not the same show, it sort of reminds me of Justice, which makes me excited about this new series.
Coincidentally, Eamonn Walker appeared in Justice and will also be appearing in this show, along with Nip/Tuck actress Joley Richardson. Today ABC released two sneak peeks from the series at its Upfront presentation and we have them for you below.
This unique legal drama chronicles the way a case is built from the perspective of both the defense and prosecution. Showing each side equally keeps the audience guessing, shifting allegiances of guilt or innocence until the very final scene.
Kathryn Peale, the product of a New England background and a sheriff father, is the Deputy Bureau Chief in the New York State District Attorney's office. Jimmy Brogan, born and raised in Hell's Kitchen and a friend of Kathryn's since their days at Yale Law School, is one of New York's rising criminal attorney stars. Buoyed by their respective teams, these evenly matched lawyers — each with a strong streak of competitiveness, a fervent belief in their clients and an equally intense passion for the law — go about creating two different stories from the same set of facts. As this up-close, behind-the-scenes look at the legal process mirrors the excitement of a great championship match, it becomes evident that truth has nothing to do with innocence or guilt — at the end of every trial, the only thing that matters is what the jury believes.
“The Whole Truth” stars Rob Morrow (“Numb3rs”) as Jimmy Brogan, Joely Richardson (“Nip/Tuck”) as Kathryn Peale, Eamonn Walker (“Oz”) as Sr. ADA Terrence “Edge” Edgecomb, Sean Wing as Chad Griffin, Anthony Ruivivar as Alejo Salazar and Christine Adams as Lena Boudreaux.
The series is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Warner Bros. Television. The pilot was written and co-executive produced by Tom Donaghy and the executive producers are Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman, while Alex Graves was an executive producer and director for the pilot, and KristieAnne Reed serves as a co-executive producer.

I'd like just to point out that Joely Richardson only appeared in the pilot. Her role will be recast for the series.

The minute I saw the promo for The Whole Truth, it reminded of justice. So I went online and load n behold it's from the same guy who did Justice. Here my gripe, I really enjoyed justice, I loved the premise. But I could see that the show would have problems because it was redundant so to speak. It needed a story arch, like a rivalry firm or a skeleton in the closet of the head the firm. It's been a while since I've seen it so maybe this occurred but it was probably too little to late since the series ratings were gradually going down until it was canceled. So I can't see the whole truth as brand new series as it's premise is the same as justice. Jerry Bruckheimer has always done better with television then in movies, but this to me shows a lack of creative or new ideas, an original cast member from justice will be in this for crying out loud. It just seems like a joke to me but maybe to Bruckheimer it's a second chance to get it right, at his own risk.
