Oh, True Blood, how I had missed you so!
Because not only Eric is back and still super, duper HOT, but things have started with a bang. In case you don’t remember, season 2 ended with that creeper Maryann dying a gruesome death and Bill proposed! Only to be kidnapped by mysterious forces two minutes later.
So in the premiere, Sookie is going batshit crazy looking for Bill, but no one seems to want to help her. She goes to the Police, she asks Eric for help, but nobody listens to her, the poor thing. So she spends the entire premiere running around looking for her beloved fiancé and the only one who actually helps her is sweet, clumsy, newborn vampire Jessica. After running into Pam – and witnessing first hand Eric calling his protégé – Sookie realizes Jessica has the same mind/blood/whatever connection to Bill as his vampire child. They find manage to find his car, but Bill is long gone.
The dudes who kidnapped our beloved goody-two shoes vampire are actually V addicts, who just want to drain Bill to get their fix. Bill deals with them – even after having half his blood drained – and tries to find his way home, after feeding off of a poor old lady. Turns out it’s just not his week, when he finds himself suddenly surrounded by werewolves (or so I’m assuming).
Meanwhile, Jason is dealing with the fact that he killed Tara’s beloved boyfriend Eggs and although he tries really hard to fall back into routine like Andy told him to, his head just isn’t that into it. Hoyt moves in with him, since he is suddenly homeless and girlfriendless. Although he does try to make amends with Jessica, she was otherwise preoccupied with the guy she accidentally killed and then with helping Sookie finding her Vampire Daddy.
Tara, the poor thing, is devastated by Eggs’ death and spends the entire episode sort of shell shocked, only to try to kill herself in the end by taking an absurd amount of pills.
And of course, Eric and the Queen Sophie Anne are in mighty trouble when the Magister swings by Fangtasia and snoops around, trying to find out who is the vamp that is selling V to humans. They manage to look innocent enough for the Magister to leave, but are worried, nonetheless.
Oh, and Sam – who is tracking his birth family all the way in Arkansas – has the hottest dream with Bill! WTF, man!
And last, but not least, turns out all those orgies when Maryann was around had consequences: Arlene is pregnant and let’s just hope the baby is Terry’s.
