Tonight's True Blood is the nexus between the two storylines that have been plodding along all season as Sookie, Bill, and Jason return to a Bon Temps tossing the throes of the mysterious Maryann. Sookie probably won't be too happy to find a Maenad living in her house and wearing her gram's threads, but will Bill's abilities be any match for the nefarious vibrating woman? Will there be another orgy scene? Is that Hoyt's mom playing Conduit on the Wii? Here's a clip and some pics to help inform you.

Okay, I think that was definitely Hoyt's mother playing Wii - and I hope they gave her some vampire blood or something to explain her sudden change of demeanor. Yeah, I know the scene doesn't say much but at least there is some form of confrontation building. I still have no clue what Maryann's motivation is, and that's a troubling question to have still lingering about at episode 10 - it just seems like her arc up until now could have fit into one episode, three if you were really stretching it.

Bill discovers that traditional vampire techniques don't work on Maryann; Hoyt and Jessica try to keep a lid on Maxine's madness; Sookie tries to push through the darkness consuming Tara. With all hell breaking loose, Jason takes the bull by the horns to rescue Sam, at least for the moment.
