True Blood returns Sunday, June 14 with all new episodes. The promo for the new season of True Blood is full of sexual tension, betrayal, blood, and conspiracy. What more can you want from True Blood season two? Sexy men and women are preparing for another mesmerizing season on HBO. The serial killer storyline has been resolved and the guesses on who the major players will be have been confirmed. Lafayette is the prime candidate for the dead body in Andy Bellefleur's car. For those who read the "True Blood" book series, this is not news as Lafayette is killed at the start of the second book. Creator Alan Ball has taken notable liberties in translating the books to the HBO series, but it is doubtful that this is one plot item that he'll change.
It is unclear if this means that Nelsan Ellis, aka Lafayette, will be returning to the season 2 cast. Since this is a vampire story, anything is possible.
New regulars to the series include Todd Lowe, Michelle Forbes, Deborah Ann Woll, and Mehcad Brooks. Lowe is the odd sone of Andy Bellefleur, Terry, who is expected to start up a steamy relationship with Arlene. What else his storyline includes is still up for massive speculation.
Mehcad Brooks who plays a ward of Maryann is expected to hook up with great speculation and drama with Tara who has apparently tossed Jason and Sam out like used tissues.
Maryann is supposed to be a character from Greek mythology known as a maenad who worships the god of wine and acts like an insane woman as a result. This promises to be an interesting storyline with lots of complications between Maryann, Tara, and "Eggs" Benedict.
For comic relief we turn to the final series regular, Jessica. She may get a bit annoying as Bill's whiny vampire, but her thrill at the destruction she can cause is enough to lighten even the darkest of moods.
