True Blood Season 5 Bonus Clip Sparks Theories For Season 6

Well that was fast. Hot on the finish of True Blood season 5 comes a finale bonus clip that gives a hint to the substance of season 6, and inspires more than a couple of wild theories. In the scene, Nora, Pam, Jess, Tara, and Jason ride the Authority elevator towards the surface where they expect to run into resistance. After offing a Vamp, Jason, still in his semi-daze, makes the comment "I'm coming for you Warlow." Nora recognizes the name immediately and asks "What do you know about Warlow?!". Oh, boy. You can see the clip on HBOGO.com if you are an HBO subscriber, be sure to watch with interactive features for even more video.
So it would seem that True Blood season 6 will center on Warlow, the Vampire that was promised the first born Fae offspring of the Stackhouse clan, AKA Sookie. So forget the head-fake that suggested Warlow might actually be Russell Edgington, which never really panned out anyways, and get ready to meet Warlow in season 6 of True Blood, or have we met him already?
I'm thinking Warlow was a Vampire with a flair for alchemy and magic. A Vampire witch. Since we have seen him in spectral form already, it's safe to say Warlow has been stuck in some kind of alternate dimension since the beginning of True Blood, which would explain why he hasn't been a threat until now.
Notice how the Warlow story seems to pick up at the same time the Authority begins experimenting with what they think is real Lilith blood? And while the stoned Vamps of the Authority couldn't see it, it was pretty clear to us that whatever was haunting that blood didn't care who drank it as long as someone did. Roman, as it turns out, was truly the strongest of the Authority vampires as he resisted the urge to drink and always shared his own blood in tribute to Lilith. Once he was eliminated, the younger vamps were soon drawn in by the power that lives within the blood. An obvious 'living' power, or more appropriately, maybe, undead power.
If you haven't guessed by now, Bill Compton is probably Warlow. We'll have to wait for season 6 of True Blood to be certain, but given the context of the clip as a primer for next year it's hard to think of it any other way. What do you think? Join in the discussion in the forums and tell us who you think Warlow is.

Ummm Warlow is 350+ years old…so how is Bill Compton supposed to be Warlow? Seriously, if he is Warlow I will stop watching…
I really don’t think that Bill is Warlow….of course we really are guessing here….thanks for this great show
It’s Bill. Did research on Sookie in the first couple of seasons. Bill’s a D1ck. Get over it…
Well, I don’t mean Bill is LITERALLY Warlow. Warlow’s essence now inhabits Bill’s form, was my suggestion.
I agree. I think Warlow’s essence was in the blood and so now Bill is possessed by Warlow. It really is the only thing that makes sense. I think that Nora, being a member of the Authority for so long knows of Warlow and some punishment that was handed down to him; either banishment or to suffer the true death, but he some how got around it, sort of like Voldemort.
Finally, someone who agrees. My guess is that whatever Warlow is, some Vampire Witch who is in some kind of other dimension, has now been born again in Bill’s body. “Vampires often turn on those they love the most” Bill said, right? Which means this new Bill has turned on Sookie. He’s out for her. This I’m guessing plays a role in this war thats coming between the fae and Warlow.
Remember Morella made a pact with Andy and told him that he must protect her kind, because he promised? And the Elder Faery also said “you, me, warlow, our destinies are intertwined” (or something to that effect). And as mentioned above, the Warlow story picked up during this whole Lilith thing in the Authority.
Excited for next season!!!
I have a theory: the writers don’t even know who Warlow is. They created this mysterious vamp and they just keep throwing random tidbits out there without really knowing where it’s going. I think they’ll take the hiatus to take everything they’ve said about Warlow already and spin it into who/what he actually is. It’s not ideal, so hopefully they figure it out soon.
True Blood may be campy looking, but show’s writing is top notch. Warlow storyline definitely already have shape only without details. Every season was very thoughtful, no reason to decline in quality.
I think they took a clever, witty and stylish series and turned it into a cheesy, over done, bad episode of charmed on wb.
Warlow can’t be Bill because Bill was turned during the Civil War era and this pact was made over 300 years ago. But i do feel that Warlow is someone that we all know or have seen because they’ve made sure that we couldn’t see his face at all. I think that it could be Eric Northman, he’s old and powerful enough, plus he’s always been pretty amoral, the last couple of seasons notwithstanding. i could see him making a pact like that, as well as killing Sookie $ Jason’s parents.
Well, what if Lillith’s blood, sure, gave Bill some kind of “ultra power” but maybe he’ll have to be the one to defeat Warlow? Since now they’re both powerful? I don’t know….
I agree with Annonimus. I do think this season’s writing has been top notch and I love the campy humor. Especially with this season not drawing from any one book specifically. If this series is to continue, Bill needs to continue to be a part of it. Naturally, there needs to be a way he can “become himself” again. I trust that next season will likely include a Fae war that will somehow end with Warlow being killed and Bill being saved by Sookie’s fairy powers. I am excited to see how the writers spin this. I thought this was one of the best seasons yet! And I love the prospect of Eric helping Sookie again. :)
Bill is Warlow. Maybe he tried to make it up to Sookie in his way, but in the end, even vamps don’t change.
Of course Bill is not Warlow because:
1. Lilith is not Warlow. Warlow has been running around mysterious and dangerous for a long time but also as recently as 20-30 years back when he killed Sookie’s parents and 300 years back when the contract was made. Lilith has been dead in blood form for millennia.
2. It’s much more interesting to have two ancient vampire threats running about than one.
3. Warlow’s identity is supposed to be a mystery; that’s the whole point. You haven’t met him yet. If season 6 was merely about what happens to Bill and if he is now the end all of vampires, how boring that would be. There’s always gotta be something older, something darker, something more ancient. Otherwise it’s time to quick.
