A lot of people were disappointed with the Bones season 4 finale but I wasn't one of them. I thought it was a lot of fun, even if it appears that it all happened in a dream (or possible in a story that Brennan was writing...it's hard to tell). When we last left our squints, Brennan had expressed interest in having a baby and asked Booth to be the sperm donor. He realized that he couldn't just walk away from one of his children and told her that if he was going to be the baby's father, he would have to be in its life. Booth was hallucinating about seeing Stewie from Family Guy and Brennan quickly realized that something was wrong. Booth was checked into the hospital and shortly thereafter had an operation for a brain tumor. In the final moments of the season 4 finale, Booth awoke after the operation and asked Brennan "who are you?"
A lot of people wondered whether this would lead to an amnesia storyline, but rumor has it that Booth was just confused about whether Brennan was just his scientist friend or his wife from his dream. From the trailers we've seen, it appears that Booth knows who Brennan is, but is definitely experiencing deeper feelings for her now.
Other notable things to happen in season 4 is the fact that Cam adopted the 16 year old daughter of a former boyfriend when said boyfriend was murdered. Angela, meanwhile, had vowed to be celibate for six months on Sweets' advice. We met Booth's brother, Jared, who ended up getting fired from the Navy when he saved his brother's life. Jared took off on a vacation to India to find himself.
The season 5 premiere will pick up about six weeks after last season's finale and Cyndi Lauper will guest star. David Boreanaz (Booth) says that the team will have to help Booth get back into the swing of things after his operation and he will definitely have to address his growing feelings for Brennan.
I love this show. I originally started watching it because I was a fan of David Boreanaz when he was on Buffy and Angel, but the characters and storylines of Bones have totally grown on me. I watch religiously each week because Bones is funny and smart and a bit gross. I can't wait for the return. The sexual tension between Booth and Brennan is amazing and I think that both of their personalities are so strong that it wouldn't ruin the show to have them together. Do you agree?

George, as far as I know David Boreanaz is married with a kid and another baby on the way, so it's likely they won't be together in real life. However, I hear they're really good friends and fun people.
