Does this surprise or relieve anybody? John Lithgow won the Golden Globe for his chilling turn as the "Trinity Killer" on season four of Dexter. Critics and fans alike were stunned by Lithgow's versatile performance, many pegging the iconic actor as Dexter's most memorable nemesis ever. Lithgow beat out some heavy competition, including Emmy Award winner Michael Emerson (LOST) and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) - both had also been favored to win in some corners.
It was clear from Lithgow's acceptance speech that he truly enjoyed portraying the sick, twisted, and otherwise demented Trinity killer, aka Arthur Mitchell. Should his family worry about that? Unfortunately, Trinity will not be returning to Dexter, besides in flashbacks, but his involvement in the final twist - offing Dexter's wife Rita - will carry his imprint into coming seasons.
