Dear Mother of God, Why?!?!
During yesterday's celebration of 90210 Day (9.02.10), the illustrious Jethro Nededog of Zap2it.com broke the news that Mekia Cox would return to 90210 to reprise her role of Sasha, Dixon's cougarette girlfriend.
Sasha came onto the 90210 scene last year after connecting with Dixon over sports and music. Dixon was looking for a rebound from his tumultuous relationship with Silver and thought he scored big. Only problem was that Sasha was 26, and Dixon, as we all know, was still growing facial hair and making bad fashion statements. As the story line progressed, Sasha claimed she was pregnant in an attempt to capture Dixon, but Debbie stepped in and told Sasha to kick rocks, before she kicked her ass.
The Sasha storyline was one of the few eye rolling moments that came out of Season Two, especially when it took the fake pregnancy turn just as they were already wrapping up a teen parenting storyline with Adrianna. But I digress...
Mr. Nededog reported that Sasha will return with a "more sophisticated look and she's back to deliver some shocking news to Dixon." What on Earth could that news possibly be? Hopefully, it's a Bad Fashion Anonymous group. Just saying...
No word was given on when this reappearance will happen or how much of a dent it will put on Dixon's senior year. Just as long as it's not an actual pregnancy then we will be cool. Well, at least I will...
Mekia Cox is not hard on the eyes, though. Luckily, she has a full time gig on NBC's upcoming spy drama Undercovers as Gugu Mbatha-Raw's sister, Lizzy Gilliam, which is spot on casting to me. I would like to shake the hand of the casting department for Undercovers, because the show is officially packed with enough eye candy to make a diabetic have a heart attack from the sweetness of it all. But again, that's just me.
So what do you think about Sasha coming back to Beverly Hills? Do you want her to be sane? Or do you want Sasha to be her old batastic crazy self?
90210's Season Three premiere airs September 13 @ 8/7c on The CW, while Undercovers will premiere on September 22nd @8/7c on NBC.
