Christina Hendricks wants to play Wonder Woman
Guys, this is a match made in superhero heaven.
Christina Hendricks, one of the many beautiful and famous stars of AMC's Mad Men, might be nabbing a pretty iconic role. The actress, who plays Joan Harris on the Emmy-winning show, appeared on Rachael Ray earlier this week, where she dropped a bomb about playing the superheroine Wonder Woman for a much-talked-about television adaptation.
"I heard that rumour too - I don't know where it got started but I love it!" she enthused. "I've been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I'd love to [do it]. That would be such fun. Let's put it out there!"
The series is being pitched by Boston Legal's David E. Kelley, who is also known for creating Ally McBeal. The character hasn't appeared in live-action on television since Linda Carter portrayed the character in the 1970s.
Despite Hendricks's red locks, I would love to see her step into the iconic role of Wonder Woman, so long as it doesn't detract from her role as Joan on Mad Men. That comes first for me.
Do you agree? Would you like to see Hendricks as a superheroine? Is she right for the role? Let us know in the comments below!
Here are a few dozen reasons why we think Christina would rock the Wonder Woman suit.
