The cast rumors for Dancing with the Stars Season 13 are as hot as the July heat has been here in New York. There are a bunch of new ones to discuss, but an interesting tidbit of news first. It's been reported that DWTS is looking to sign "big" celebrities to compete next season, no D-listers or hasbeens. Judging from the latest rumors grabbed from around the net, they must be keeping a tight lid on those big fish, because I'm just not seeing it. No official announcement from DWTS on anyone just yet, but here’s the latest buzz:
Perhaps the biggest rumor to hit the blogosphere is Rob Kardashian, the male version of those Kardashian sisters you love to hate (or hate to love?) TMZ reports that hunky Rob will definitely follow in big sister Kim Kardashian's footsteps, gracing the ballroom floor come September. Since pro Mark Ballas is currently coaching Kim and fiancé Kris Humphries for their big wedding dance, perhaps he had a chance to persuade Rob to join the cast. Can Rob can fare better than Kim, who was voted off with Mark in week 2 of Season 7?
LimeLife reports that former Representative-NY Anthony Weiner is in talks with producers to appear on DWTS. This one is just laughable. I don’t doubt that the producers approached Weiner, but this man could hardly give this offer serious consideration. After having ruined his career with explicit Twitter pics to young girls with a pregnant wife at home, does he not realize that the public is just not ready to forgive him? I think we can all say we’ve seen enough of Weiner for the time being. Another reason this doesn’t work is because his wife Huma will be in the latter stages of her pregnancy during DWTS Season 13’s run. He may be a jerky husband, but would he be that stupid to leave his wife’s side at a time like that?
Speaking of the public’s disgust, there’s another rumor out there almost as bad: Dina Lohan. Earlier this month, Lindsay Lohan’s momager Dina was overheard telling people she will be competing on Dancing with the Stars in Season 13. This woman is not a star in her own right, but she has always tried to force some of Lindsay’s star to shine on her. As for being qualified to appear on the show, we can’t argue nepotism here, especially since Bristol Palin appeared. The problem for Dina will be the popularity part of the contest, which is huge. Whether or not she can dance, people just don’t like this woman. Unless Lindsay manages to do an awesome, positive turnaround...like soon… which Dina can take credit for, she would be the one to get voted off as early as the first week. Earth to Dina: Lindsay is the Lohan people would want to see compete on Dancing with the Stars.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi from the Jersey Shore is another funny one being reported by LimeLife. Ok I get it. Snooki has a fan base, she is an “actress” from a top reality show. She’s also a train wreck. Ratings gold? Yes, but only for a short while. Would she do well? No. This young woman does like not to toe the line or take orders from anyone, and not because she’s an independent free-spirited woman. It’s because she is a train wreck. It's cross promotion gold for the two shows and her wild ways would translate into ratings for a couple of weeks, so don't count this one out.
Lastly, some other rumors on the DWTS radar are recording artist and actress Christina Milian and LA Laker Ron Artest. Christina fills the cute young pop star/actress role, while Ron fills the athlete role. Both of these are heavy star categories on DWTS. Christina’s career could certainly use a boost and DWTS exposure would be good for her. Ron appears to have too much going on right now. If the NBA lockout ends, and he stays with the Lakers, he would be needed on the court this fall. Otherwise, he may end up jetting to England to join the British basketball team Cheshire Jets. I’d bet on Christina but not Ron.

You would think with this show being as popular as it seems to be, it would have actual stars trying to dance, not people who know or are related to stars.
They should change the title, it's very misleading. How about "Dancing with the Stars'…Friends"?
I would love to see model and reality star COCO from reality show ICE LOVES COCO. I saw her trying to prepare for their anniversary and SHE WAS AWESOME……..Do your DWTS fans a favor and invite her to the competition. It would be great.
