Sci-Fi shows I think have a bad start to begin with due to completely FAILED advertising. You can't run promos for shows like this during the current popular reality tripe, the target audiance will never see it.

I have a busy nerdy life, and I don't watch alot of tv. I don't find out about these shows until they are already cancelled. I stumbled upon defying gravity via the internet, and NOT tv commercials.

Look at Firefly, huge fan base, but I'm sure not everyone even KNEW about it until it was already in the coffin.

I for one didn't know about it until the movie was out. Then I was very disappointed to find the show lasted but one season.

INTERNET INTERNET INTERNET.. It's where the nerds live, and we'll be more than happy to watch and support your nerdy shows IF you tell us it's there! lol

Someday someone will wise up and make a "tv station" that runs like netflix. You pay for the service and you watch the shows you want when you want, and get suggestions on what you might like. I'd say about 90% of all the new shows I've watched, I learned about through suggestions based on what I already like.

Excellent show, excellent story line, excellent characters. Just found the series on Netflix and love it and want more. Some station needs to pick this up and continue the story. Do we really need another cop or medical series, or one that just goes off on tangents (Heroes, Lost, Event, and Sanctuary). I found this to be a thought provoking show with great people and a good story line. I want more. This should show that whoever was in charge of getting the show out there did not do their job.

If you aren't going to give the show time to find it's audience you aren't doing it justice. Put the show back on already… I've been patient enough, and this show is by far one of the best ABC has to offer. Apparently all of the episodes have been filmed and are currently being aired in Canada. As long as I can watch them on Hulu or on the internet somewhere and I could care less if ABC knows it or not. If they wont give the show a chance then they can go F#@K them selves.

I have started watching this show the past few weeks and it is great. I couldn't stop watching until I saw the whole 13 shows. I am now watching it a second time. I agree with the statements below. Bring it back no matter what the network it is on. The cast is so entertaining and play their part so wonderfully. Yes, bring it back.

I can't believe ABC would invest so much time, money, and effort creating a story of such depth and mystery to simply not find room in their lineup to show it. If the episodes are created already then at least give the fans a chance to purchase the rest of the season. If you're going to cut your losses and cancel a show then have the decency to give those of us that love it a chance to see the rest of the season. I'd be more than happy to pay to be able to watch the final episodes. Hook the fans up. OK ABC, if you don't think the majority of your viewers like the show then allow those of us that do to watch it online or purchase it for streaming or something so the viewers that loved it can continue the story rather than be rudely cutoff. That last episode simply left me hanging! 2.5 Million viewers is a lot of people you simply let down. Thats simply not good business.Kean Hammond

Well here is one problem with ABC and its marketing campaign:I did not even know this show exited till I saw the DVD for Season 1at Walmart!Maybe they (ABC) should examine the way they are adverstising (or not advertising) programs!!No 'campaign' equals no 'ratings'!!=^^=m

BarryNo wonder the networks are tanking when they dick around shows like Defying Gravity. Put it back on! If the nets can support crap like "Yes Dear", "Lost", or "Three and a half men", all worthless mind numbing crap, why can't they invest in something thought provoking, complex but not confusing and well mounted. Give it time to develop. Give it a decent time slot. Give it a real chance, Schmucks!

I just finished watching 6 episodes and can't wait for the new season, then I find out its been cancelled. I can't believe it, what a waste! I love this show, what does it take to get it back on the air. I never did see it advertised on ABC, I thought it was a cable show. Hopefully, ABC will re-instate and get it back on prime time

Stiil waiting for the show. This crap makes me NOT want to watch any more pilots or new shows. Why get interested in something you've invested hours and hours of your time watching? ABC really advertised and put the hard sell on the show, and got me very interested. I've seen every one of the episodes and have been wondering what happened… Similar thing with "V" and "Happytown" got interested and then all you get is coming soon… Defying Gravity didn't even get that. C'mon ABC get it together and stop using your audience as guinea pigs and lab rats! At least run the episodes you've already taped!

it would be a huge mistake if they let a awesome unique neverbefore show just end like that. I just bought the 1st season and couldnt stop watching. I saw it as the only show i would ever follow religiously but yea who cares what the fan thinks say ABC but yea i wanna see more im all in for saving it

Like so many shows before, the television execs have made the decision based upon extremely limited input from screeners and a miniscule sampling of opinions, to cancel a well written and intelligent series.While I understand ratings mean larger viewer audiences, which leads to big name advertisers paying even bigger sums of money for commercial slots, here's an idea for the tv execs… TRY PROMOTING YOUR SHOWS/SERIES WITH COMPETENCY AND DIRECTNESS.I have seen very minimal advertising for this series when it was being broadcasted. In order to make money, the tv execs need to spend money (in the right places). Not necessarily in their bonuses from the start. This will come later with proper promotional methods of good quality shows. Unfortunately, what has been ruling the airwaves more and more are stagnant reality shows, cage fighting, extremely poor quality cartoons(late night, mornings, and anytime), and poorly written spin-offs.Apparently quality television is not what the execs think should be on television.

They need to keep this show going. At the VERY LEAST, at least it's an original concept. It's a great show and it's awful how the network has handled it. BRING IT BACK!!

I know at least several people who watched it, and yeah I heard about it by word of mouth, it was never released properly and I think it would have faired much better if it had been properly advertised. It was a great show with an outstanding cast but had no proper backing. there are so much crap out there and it angers me to see a good show go away because of loosers at the network.

I really want this show to continue. Seriously, the story is great and just pulling it from the line up just makes me want to see it more. There are so many unanswered questions and the completion of the mission. I'm tired of seeing shows that are crappy yet continue just because of viewer-ship, I want a GOOD show to watch.

I am generally annoyed at all the networks uk and america alike. they keep having these "Mid season Breaks" meaning that viewers are forced to try and keep up with possible air dates for new shows.it seems that if a show is not a mega ratings winner they can do what they like. Well they can't, we are annoyed and will not take it any more.Come on networks, if want your advertising revinue don't force us to use torrents to obtain episodes that you only show at stupid o'clock in some back water town.
